This is a thread about the artists whose music you don't really like, but nevertheless see huge potential..
My list would be GMS, Infected Mushroom and Sub6.
Sub6 cos they showed with Program Flies that they can definitely rule, it's just too bad that till this date they haven't imo repeated that.
Infected Mushroom cos imo they proved their worthiness already with 3 outstanding albums. Now they've done 2 sucky ones in a row.. but the talent is still there for sure. If Duvdev would only stop singing and they would concentrate on psychedelic, not profit.
GMS, well I like some of their early stuff, they were true innovators, but then it just stopped, more and more of the same old. However they often manage to create incredible peaks.. it's too bad those are so insignificent when the other 99% of the track is pure crap..

I'd say Dark Soho. They proved how good they could be with their first 2 albums.... now they're riding the full on wave like everyone else. I hope they come back to their roots and continue producing emotional, dark, heavy music.

Skazi, had some great albums like Storm and Animal. Gritty, psychedelic stuff. Then came the Zoo saga, and he has plummeted imo. And now even more depressing is the CC stage he's in.
Wrecked Machines, their new album is nice, but not earthshattering. Preferred their earlier works.
Raja Ram, had pioneered some great sounding music. His compilations like the 'Yeti' series and 'Crystal skuls' were fabulous. What the hell happened with the 1200 mics project and TIP.World compilations ?? their latest album is a joke !!

Regarding Raja Ram I agree as well....
This guy was a real conceptualist of the music in the early days (from the Quintessence days), but at the moment it seems that he is busy with other stuff...

ahaha
very true... someone should really tell him his voice sucks..
if they are into vocal tracks now, they should ask someone like michelle...
but i don´t think their last 2 albums are all that bad, just a diferent style.the first 3 albums came in a very particular space/time context and for that are very hard to reach now... |

in my opinion infected mushroom...they had such talent in the past....such albums loved bp empire converting vegetarians...but the newere ones are pretty much mainstream not much to offer..jes some weird vocals...but as everyone knows they surely have the potential to dish out some great psycadelic stuff...

infected... no need to explain
gms... old school stuff were real stories now is all the same
hux flux... i like his last album, it's great but it doesn't move me as much as his heavy psychedelics of times past......
theorem... he's on the right path for a great future artist, it's just not my style right now but i can see how he could evolve in the right direction. |

So I agree with all re:Infected.
* Astrix - he is one of the very best producers but I don't like his today's style.
His album EYE TO EYE is the only trance album (dance) which I consider of excellent quality from the 1st sound till the very last one but today's style is cheesy in my opinion.
* Fatali - Him aswell, the quality is excellent but the style is inmature in my opinion. His 1 st album was better than the 2nd (as a style) the 2nd was better (as quality) but he's missing something.
* Skazi - if only he gets rid off those cray guitars and emphasise on proper psychedelic trance he would be one of the best but right now he's at the very bottom of my list.
* Wrecked machines - some tracks are GREAT but why not all? - They should wait longer & work harder before they relase an album.
* Star.X - (he's a very good friend of mine to start with) - his debut album "Prepare to fly" is a 9 out 10 album and also some singles he released but when we got him to Malta to play he played a totally different style which I did not like at all (sorry Eran) and he said that this is how his future productions will sound like.
That's all for now.
