well, first and foremost - guitar players - slash, hendrix, paige, blackmore, beck, clapton, malmsteen, friedman, frampton.
bass players - Jako Pastorias, petitouchi.
drummers - Dean Castronovo, nick menza.
singers - Axl, Mustain, ozzy, manson, Reznor.
classical influences - Bach, Mozart, Rachmaninof, Ravel, bocelli, tchikowskie, etc.
as to popular music - ANYthing with a decent beat. that includes Hip Hop, rap, big beat, ambient and chillout, Jungle, DNB, alternative, acid jazz, Jazz, trip hop, rnb, blues, rocknroll 50's style and more.
I only wish the amount of CD's would be in paralel to my list here :-) |

have to agree with Hujaboy here, Mr. Bungle for sure!!! :D as well as Secret Chiefs 3! and really anything that Mike Patton has a hand in is usually brilliant!

Jason, with your permission i would like 2 join your piano-guitar-track with my triangle... i think it will add alot 2 the sound dont u think?
My insperational music is... Tori Amos, Creed, Faith No More, Pearl Jam, Dream Theater, Jhn Petrucci and Mike Portnoy solo...also Nickelback, Mr Bungle, Turin Brakes, Porcupine Tree, Eagle Eye Cherry (amazing 1st CD) and i will have 2 add Sharif........ (don't laugh)

I cant put a list for this question. But all i can say is SOUND is my inspiration. From the birds, the cars, hip hop, rock, classic, jazz, trance. Anything SOUND is something that just amazes me. |
