well then dont go to war!
dont really get it who are the soldiers, what are the weapons and who got any money?

For I want some!!!

Sometimes a bit of humbleness would be appreciated. I know it wasnt you who started this, but there where some arguments about people here not having any music culture and somebody wanted to teach us lost souls what is wrong and what is right music???

I choose my music, and I am old enough to know what works for me and what doesnt.

right and wrong as pertaining to music doesn't get into it with enough detail. just leaves us on the surface where all views are the same cos we all have them.

if analysis is what you're after then you have to look at composition, arrangement, singing/playing, mixing, production quality - as well as the perceived originality of the work. probably more could be added to the list.

but none of us need such an analysis to guide us in what we know we want to hear... what we know we like...

ironically, entheogenic would score very highly in every category except perhaps the perceived originality. and as has been well pointed out, there are no real original ideas... just rehashes and remixes.

instead of shutting Moreno down, or denigrating his own music by way of response, why not try to imagine what it was he was getting at ?

he certainly was not trying to teach what is right or wrong when it comes to music...

what he was suggesting is that this particular genre could benefit from drawing upon more influences and sources. From breaking out of established patterns and not relying upon them so heavily.

Tyler put that into context by saying that experimentation should not be the pre-eminent consideration - a valid point.

we used to work with a musician called David Kristian.
when he finished a song he used to erase all his presets and sounds; he was determined not to fall into a rut and use the same material twice. A little extreme perhaps, but it illustrates the basic point that started these threads.

he also used to bury his masters in the earth for a few months so they could mature, but that is another story

i like this guy already
tell us more, please!
so he buried dats in the ground to get
better vibes or a more earthy sound?
wouldn't it be fun if he'd forgot one in the ground and one day a tree would grow at the place with musical fruits (when you eat them you'd hear a tune inside your head) hanging from the branches?

Within any genre, you always get some 'underground music heroes' popping up on message boards and trying to save the 'blind and deaf' majority from their 'appaling' music tastes and attack some of scene's biggest artists with highly patronising tones, calling anyone who may like their music 'uncultured, brainwashed, idiots' etc. I remember how Isratrance nearly exploded after the last Twisted party where a few characters had some extremely nasty things to say about Simon P, OTT and the whole Twisted crew.

I just had a look through all the threads on Entheogenic and what Master Margharita and Maux had to say for themselves. I am a biggest fan of Entheogenic, and I have no comment on either MM's music or Maux's music because I havent heard it, but one thing to me is apparent. The guys (MM and Maux) come across really badly as human beings, their words are full of arrogance, patronisation, cynisism and bitterness. Not good traits to have at all.

I can understand how they want to make people see that there is much better music than the generic, uninventive, by the numbers psychill, but the way they are going about it is not showing them in very good light. There are so many different and I think better ways that opinion can be expressed.

insane...somebody dare to say that some music is crap (not me)...and he becomes a BAD human being...en evil spirit...nearly a demon...
get a life mate, have a shower today..you are welcome to comment my music...but pls don't try to judge my human nature...
who is patronizing here???
take it eeeeeeeeeeasy.
;-)

ps.it seems that too much of dmt and holy substances makes everybody very serious and kills their sense of self irony...I thought instead that the desired effect was a sense of overwealming goodness that makes you accepting anything with a smile...even nasty words and mocking idiots....maybe you neeed to take more.

ps2. I booked a shamanic session for tonight..and a friend will come with the new Enth album (finally I will listen to it)...I hope that my human sins will be finally cured.

I have no idea what you are like...I was saying how you come across in your posts, I apologise for not making that clear enough.

Also you impying that I am a heavy drug user is laughable, you do not have a clue about me. One thing for sure, unlike you I can criticise and still be respectful.

He keep cool

Don't try to forward your passion for the Entheogenic guys and try to define Moreno and Maux like arrogant or frustrated guys. I don't know Maux but I think this is a cool guy, apart but I know very well Moreno and I can confirm, this is one the most hard worker and talented musician on this planet, far of arrogance and feelings like that. So come on, they are free to tell what they want about every music out. Shall we stay always politically correct? shall we stay always constructive? Hahaha, come on, everyone is happy when someone say : " cool, mate, fantastic release, amazing, killlaaaaaa..". So we need to accept the inverse words! (crap, shit, bullshit...).

You have the right to claim that Aes Dana music is gorgeous crap, I will not blacklist you for that. I will be only sad that my music doesn't talk to your senses. That's all, End of chapter....

so cheers, today this is my birthday

hugs to all.

respect for your music and wise words.

I have zero passion for Entheogenic as musicians and to me the issue is not the critisism of the music, but calling people who happen to like it 'deaf, brainwashed and blind'. If you read the relevant thread you will see comments of this nature (there is quite a few of them)

There is nothing wrong with critisism, but when differing tastes in music are used to put yourself on some kind of pedestal and to insult others who do not share the same tastes....that is something that bothers me.

Oki, I let down. I'm very in nostalgia of the old psynews.org forum with no moderation at all. It was passionate, only immediate comments, completly thrash (at the limit of the diffamation sometimes I recognize), but like every public place, full of life and fun...
So, I should shut up now...

So, what's about Maux album coming soon?

Enjoy.
