why is it that most of the artists profile says that they began making music at 15...what is so special about that age?

i started in age 14
before that i had no real music taste and just listened to what on the radio , usualy turned on by my parents ,apear on mtv , or played by birthday dj's , common dance music.. 2 unlimited , u96 , michael jackson , madona , pet shop boys etc.

then throu friend in school i discovered metalica!
this new (to me) sound was amazing! and i run to buy my own guitar and distortion unit

since that moment i knew i should make music , this kind of feeling i never knew before , and it feels good!
since then i make music , writing tunes , play with equlizers etc.
now the sound has changed , from metal to prodigy and chemical brothers , passed apex twin phase.. throu xenomorph and parasense , later texas faggot and haltya , and psychadelic electronic music become main feature in my life.

I first tried playing with MIDI when I was 16, back in that age I wanted to mess with MIDI files of videogame music I loved so much, at that age I had a terrible teenage confusion and depression, the only thing that made me feel good was to go to my grandmother's house and play the piano for hours trying to play those videogame tunes I loved so much, I never thought I had a musical aptitude because my family told me that those weren't serious professions and only "geniouses" could do it.

When I was 21 I started to go to parties more frequently, I got so obsessed with the dj culture and party culture (specially psy culture) that I got fired from my job because I kept blasting Goa trance all day on my speakers and playing with rebirth instead of working, to be honest I was looking for an excuse to be fired because deep within my soul a voice told me, follow your dreams!           Peace, Love, Light and Harmony

it all started with my father and his vinyl collection when i was 4 started to play drums some years later. when i first heard electronic music i just knew that this was what i wanted to do. but i didn't start with it before i turned 16 and got heavily into the psytrance thingy.

i guess 15/16 is a special age...at least for me it was. when i compare with friends in my age, they all say they started to develop an interest for electronic gadgets in that age. nowadays of course they're getting younger and younger, with children practically raised in front of the pc and all.           Anakoluth A Pebble in Your Eardrum's Shoe since 2001!

I've been playing piano since I was 5 and made up my first little tune when I was 7. Started becoming interested in electronic music from listening to Walter/Wendy Carlos tapes when I was about 11, spent the next few years staring at keyboards in the windows of music shops until I got my first synth when I was 15 (1985).

I think 15/16 is a special the age because it's at this time that schools and society raise the question for most people about what they want to do with their lives, although personally I knew what I wanted to do from when I was much younger.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering
