phyx is one of my fafourate south african artists. he lived in north america for a while. delivers very energetic and powerfull dj sets as well. also goes under the name of aleph. real name, ian.
watch out for this guy in the near future forsure!!! |

In my opinion he will be the next Tortured Brain - Rocking , twisted psychedelic techno music.

Yeah..yeah...
Phyx is creating some really crazy tunes.. especially over the last coupla months.... i think he's going over to Europe for a coupla months in June... so if you're around... go check him out... he also goes as Aleph when he plays his rocking dj sets.... just came back from the Easter Vortex .. and his set.. was definitely the best outta the lot.. no doubt about that.
Don't forget about Artifakt either... he's also living on some sort of weird plain of consciousness. He is releasing a full-length album in the next 2..or 3 months... something to look forward to if you enjoy listening to really crazy.. and totally different music..

Phyx ,damage and artifakt all do kick seriouse ass .. but my personall fave..... SHIFT.... fave track zinkwazi.. pity us zaffas that live in the GP area never get to see any live sets. |

Got the first album of Artifakt when it was released & it's really impressive, with a distinctive style.
Phyx (amongst others - Shift, Broken Toy, Damage, Protoculture) is one of my favourite artists these days...especially his materpiece track "Twitch".  Hopefully we'll see him in Jo'burg someday.

Went to Cape Town last summer and one of the timecode parties. It was small, but good fun. Dark music and lots of nutterrrss! Isn't the Scragg one of the timecode lot too? He was playing there I think..
Anyway, good on you crazeeeee peopel.

this is really my favorite style powerfull and a dancefloor killer,i'm a dj and +-40% of my sets is from south African labels. my favorites are at the moment shift and dammage. |

phyx is also one of my favs from s.africa at the moment also shift and broken toy. i loooove the whole "!new wave" from SA! i wish we saw more of them here in europe.
anyway we at ketuh look forward to releasing PHYX on our next comp. and hopefully more of SA stuff in the future.

ps. psyvader., i would love to hear a set here in EU, with mainly SA music....wow.
