Great musician, truly!           Wise decision to consider music a religion, one thing certain is that the existence of such maintains balance and harmony within this world. Attributes such as stimulation of intelligence and relativity to the perfection of mathematical equations make it

Ariane's new album is really alive tribal music. It's like being a part of some ancient african ritual. Perfect work.

I have listened to it...
Definitely this millenium's most psychedelic psybient album yet!
What a journey... I'm just awed at how brilliant this music is.

Just listened to the first half of Motherland in the car ride to work and I was pretty bored. I was expecting some good percussion, but instead all I hear is an incredibly muddy/jumbled mix of all sorts of drums fed to shitty delays?

Track 5 was much better than the first 4 and I'll give the rest a listen on the way home...but I'm pretty dissapointed :\

Not very psychedelic to me, the songs don't go anywhere and they seem to re-use a lot of the same noises            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

second half of the album was much better...

yeah, in the car! I love listening to chillout on the way to work...very calming and focusing

will give it a second try later at some point on headphones but there's so much other stuff that I have to listen to and this doesn't particularly stand out for me            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

I love her new album, definitely a similar vibe to some of Robert Rich and Steve Roach's work, tribal hypnotic ancient vibes, I disagree with the statements you made willsanquil about the production, out of the monitors in my house the production is plenty clear and not muddy in any way.

Gave it another couple listens. Still pretty boring.

Put it on the ride home from a festival yesterday and my girlfriend requested that it be turned off because she was getting annoyed by all the stupid car horn noises and high-pitched whistles and whatnot...

The production is good enough, the muddiness I'm talking about is more of a cluttering of excessive delays in tandem with tracks that don't take me anywhere...

To each their own though.
