^this is completely right.I myself never thaught being a veggie to save the world though.
I would also never think bad about people who eat meat & there are for sure places and circumstances where people are not able to eat without meat.
I strongly belief the fight about this topic is only for people who are strongly confused about it and not satisfied on how they live.
There is no seperation categorization really.
Nobody is perfect and lots of vegetarinas (example : adolf hitler) were all but not about saving this world.
I have other views which are private about why I am vegetarian but for sure not for saving the world.
But you can good resist on soya too I personaly never ever liked soya for example.
Imagine eating all colourful fresh what is not flesh and without soya - there is a lot
I love to meditate eventhough I am not disciplined and I do it not regular but with breaks - along a decade I can see it like this.
I realized that without being a vegetarian I loose some kind of connection regarding meditation.Which is one of some aspects why I decided for myself or conviced myself for this way of eating.

what is for real, is that if the speed of economic growth continues and 1000 million chinese want to eat meat everyday, this world is gonna end fucked up XD

7,000 millions humand cant eat meat every day without destroying the planet.

So, no we just cant continue eating meat.           "The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures."

but what about the 2million animals that eat animals? they are equally to be blamed for destroying the planet...humans are the only specie capable of blaming and so they blame themselves for everything ...next you will blame humans for the sun being too hot           When death comes to your doorstep, make sure you are alive

Technically I am not vegetarian, but my girlfriend allways has been. So I have found myself becoming pseudo-vegetarian cause she cooks most of the time. I dont really miss it much....

There is nothing wrong with being vegetarian.
There is nothing wrong with eating meat.
No problem either way.

It’s a personal choice. Some people make it once and for all. Others (like myself) make it before every meal. Today I feel like chicken, tomorrow I may feel like spinach and carrots.

Vegetarian diet is healthier – that’s a well documented medical fact. Some studies claim that vegan diet is even healthier. So, here is one good reason to go vegetarian. I am too weak of a person for this, though – still want some meat at least once in awhile. Definitely wouldn’t wanna give up dairy products.

The problem is not meat itself but its industrial production. I try to buy organic, when I can. I also try to make sure that animals I eat were slaughtered in a humane (and sanitary) way. So, if I can’t find organic (or can not afford at times), I’ll try to get at least kosher or halal.

That said, personally, I eat less and less meat. I love animals, that’s all. I don’t let my cats to kill a rabbit – why would I let myself eat it then? It’s very hypocritical of me, but I don’t feel as bad (yet) about eating chicken and fish as I would about eating beef, pork and lamb or cute creatures like deer and rabbits. That may change. Anyway, I can understand how some people become vegetarian for “moral” reasons.

you just contradicted yourself there , now why stop your cat from doing what it does naturally , its a predatory animal , dont mess with nature , and mostly its just like discovery channel , only with smaller animals ,to see your cat stalk & kill a bird , squirrel etc .. very cool

One of my cats (at least half Maine Coon ) is a charmed human, rather than a cat. He catches chipmunks and baby rabbits just to bring them to me (alive and unharmed) and play, while I watch. They are his pets. After awhile I take them away from him, thank him and release them (they’ve lived in my back yard for a few generations already). I don’t mind him stalking and chasing. It’s the agile micro-panther I have that I worry about – she is a real cat and she decapitates those guys in a flash. And the funny thing is – she is vegetarian! Speaking about keeping it natural – have you heard of vegetarian cats?

Anyway, I think I feed them enough. I extend the same logic to humans too: how can you justify hunting, unless you live deep in the woods? What’s up with these urban dudes hunting for fun? Not enough meat in their supermarkets?

another form of control and restrain...a deviation, a slight tilt of the angle and a straight road looks crooked...you are hungry you eat, you find something you pick it up you eat it ...if it suits your stomach you body will accept if it wont it will reject...another way to accentuate the differences--how do u kill unity and freedom ? accentuate the differences and put the differences at the center and see the how people crumble...the difference becomes the ego..i am vegie that means i have more spiritual strength and have more consiouness- ha-i am vegan- i have extra sensory perception and i am in touch with inner self-ha ha-i am an aghori i bite the flesh off the bodies of dead humans and bake bread out their ashes use their skull as a bowl and drape myself in their clothes and walk around half naked...           When death comes to your doorstep, make sure you are alive

Well, unity can be overrated too – just like the differences are. It’s finding the thin line to balance those two things on – that’s a worthy quest. To apply this principle here: we are all human, whether we eat crickets or lettuce or marble beef or jellyfish. There is no need to make our diet a big political issue and beat each other to death with our cooking books. But on the other hand, everybody is free to choose. As long as I am not roasting your pig for my dinner, you can’t keep me from eating pork, for example. We are what we are, same and unique at the same time. E pluribus unum.

I don’t let my cats kill bunnies – mk47 does. No problem on either end – just a difference of opinions. Once one of us makes a religion out of it and starts condemning the other one to hell – that’s where troubles start.

I'll post here again since I got a feeling I have to write again.Actualy the same.

There is not better wheter you are vegetarian or not. Please get it.Belive it ,it is coming from a vegetarian with psyco moods.
Fore me..not for the humanity..there is a connection when I deepen meditate,or as I was not (and since Im not for my whole life a vegie, there were stations of relapses) there simply was not possible to meditate, neverever not matter how much I wanted to.
I could write about this perticlulare point more but in the end it is my personal expirience.
People that eat meat can be ilumined or lead a joyful lightful light.
People that are vegetarians can live in abyss and darkness or lead a genocidal path.
People that claim that are higher than vegeterains because they are vegan are suckers.Or fakes ..or they don't have any wide spectrum in mind.
People that think the guys who don't eat meat are weardos or stupid are pathetic ignorants.
As Maine Coon has written everybody is free to choose.
And if there is a better in the end,its probably our doings that can defind it later, not our way of eating.
