well Vanessa, personally speaking i like trance because i feel the fat pumping bass into my ears. and when my brain gets used to the frantic rythm of 140-150 bpm's then all the intricate psy tunes penetrate my consciousness and my mind really falls into trance (without any drug help). i just love this kind of music because it stimulates my eardrums. on the other hand, house, techno and other kinds of electronic music do stimulate one's ears too but i simply hate these kinds! i feel they're not fast nor trippy enough for my likes.
the darkest and trippiest, the better for me...

I disagree my friend,
Psychedelic music can very spiritual and the same goes for psy-trance, however this does not mean that all trance is spiritual, most trance today does not bring you into a state of trance... I think spirituality should be much more present in our scene, I think it’s terrible that most of the new-comers in the scene have no clue what so ever about the psychedelic-culture or for that matter what a state of trance really feels like… More spiritual music please… Nowadays the only genre that never disappoints me is Psy-chill-out (is alwyas spiritual)…

when you dance to trance or listen to trance it is hard to get away from the music because you enter a meditative state. not hypnotic, meditative. meditation is just deep concentration in an object (samadhi meditation, which is how yoga people get into samadhi, is simply advanced meditation: deep concentration on NOTHING). one of the qualities of meditation is that it is a stable state. if you just nudge out of it once you can "slip" back into it. getting out requires a persistent effort.

i dont know if i can agree! i often hear tracks where the trance state is broken by something..
if the artist has trance in his mind then he/she will make the track flow so it introduces a trance state..
and i think the Dj need to have trance in his mind aswell if he wants to send a crowd into trance...
but of course, some artists has a gift and things will fall on place without too much reflection...

I do believe conditioning new ppl to understand the experience backfires in a way. I feel ppl have to make sense themselves and realize the power within the experience.
If we provide the message to the rest, it will be our message and not theirs. There has to be some guidance, but the actual message has to be realized. Many ppl are not ready for this, and because of the commercialization of music some party goers go for the wrong reasons. But as long as everyone smiles and brings good energy to the dancefloor... you know systems check, we are ready for take off

trance is not another electronis music scene.
love hypnotism etc,.... just read good books, speak with wise peoples, meditate ...and the answers always come if your looking for answers.
human alwasy try to think, understand, search...when paradise is just to live.

goa trance music in its best creation has a spiritual dimension in itself that none other electronic music have.
I know gabber, hardcore, jungle, breacbaeat, dub, house, hardhouse, trance coreambvient and so on...
goa trance is the most evoluated form of alectronic music both in its structure and message.
to different level of consciousness correspond different prefferences in music.
of course the ear education is important...what u have been listening before getting in trance is very important as the favorite musics of friends and relatives..but in the end the nature of goa trance is special..it is not one between the others. it is the best between the others. i am completly conscious of what i am writing and how much intolerant it can apperas to some of u. but it is.
trance is underground not only because of marketing and so on ,,but also because the level of consciousness u have to have to be sensitive to it has to be high....and the majority of human beings do not have a high level of consciousness, with all my respect and love to them.
goa trance will bit by bit get bigger and bigger, all along with the generalo state of consciousness of human beings.
this specific state that u feel listening to this music, of course is due to the specific tecnics, textures, structures and intentions that the creator of the track put in it, but in the end the track transcends his creator. according to me a good goa trance track unifie your soul to universe nothing lees nothing more, but not house music, not hardcoremusic etc...
i have seen the behaviour of young peoples after hard style tek parties, i know the superficiality of house music.....but i know that trance music transcend all of us in its nature and in its function |

any kind of music can be spiritual and trascend who's listening... depends on each person, I guess.
In my case, I listen, I feel, I dance, I see myself mixed up with the nature and the people...
sometimes I may be hipnotised, but IT'S LOVE! for sure...
I had so many great experiences I could go on writing for days... |

indeed, paradise is to live.
however, i do not understand your differentiation between living and thinking. it is like the famous distinction of being-ready-to-hand and being-present-at-hand. these two are just projections we may throw onto the same being. non-duality of duality and non-duality is where it is at.
