Boa noite a todos!
Nao posso falar o Portugues bem, mais quero ter mas pratica . . . (nao tengo acentos, perdao). Vou visitar Bahia um dia para encontrar mi Mae/Pai de Santo.
Sorry, will switch to English - my Portuguese it atrocious, but I am hoping to improve it at maximum possible speed. Will definitely spend some time in Brazil someday, I have a special relation with the place ever since my childhood (my father has a good collection of Brazilian music, and my particular favourites are Vinicius de Moraes and Chico Buarque). And it turns out Vinicius was an Umbanda initiate - I've only found out about it recently. Well, he must have been my very first Pai-de-Santo-by-proxy . . . but I still mean to go to Bahia and to get a proper initiation someday soon. Would be absolutely stupendous if I could also visit psy parties while I'm at it And if there are any chats where you speak Portuguese and are patient with foreigners mutilating the language, I'd love to get some practice.
Take care,
Mickey |

cavalo de pomba, welcome! Saravá! Namaste
in first place ur talking about Umbanda or Candomble? Cause theyr totally diferent religions.
well, if u r talking about Umbanda..
I frequent Umbanda, and u must see that there r different "Umbandas" in brasil: Umbanda Branca (more related to spiritism), Esoteric Umbanda, Umbanda with more african influences (thats strong in Bahia), others have more indian influence, or oriental. So depends on what u want. |
