Baba... Ive been stayin in dubai since da past 15 yrs... and i jus got back to mumbai yest. for a while...
dere r a lotta ppl who lisen to psy... trust me if some1 organises a gig.... ul c a lotta crowd....
i recently played at Trilogy dere at madinat jumeirah.... and never xpected many ppl coz i thought the psy scene is dry... but the turn out was pretty decent....
Also M- Levels has a few psy nights happenin these days... the psy scene dere is jus beginin to pick up....

psyd..trilogy is just about ok..average fare..pumping house......
haven't heard of M-lvel playin psy!
terminal had a few ...but those were between minimal / progressive psy
can't any1 organize something at Le Meridien, Mina Seyahi..???
creek side,nice sand, cool air..and psy!
pleeasse..lets do it before blue/westlife has another concert over here!!!

Completely agree with headyatail2000. This topic was about the Psy-scene in Dubai & then people started talking about how risky it is to do drugs in Dubai.
Why do most people equate the trance scene with the drug scene ? 
If any one out here in Dubai or Sharjah wants wants to listen to some kick-ass PSY-trance  over a few drinks (we can do the other stuff when we go down to Goa) p.m me.

hehe...yeah! Mina Seyahi ROCKS!! Killer location, reminds me of Disco valley! Went there for Paul Oakenfold...but organising a psy gig there, nah dont see it happening.

hari om..i guess it was time 4 the guru 2 speak up...i have lived in dubai since childhood n know how it works here...truly theres no psyscene here..u get 2 hear house house n house..thats all u can settle here..have lived in mumbai 4 few yrs n got back totally crazy in search of psyscenes n Ds(sorry!)..yeah this place is full of rules n psy has no rules...people here r still findin house music very killer n psytrance is still hard 4 their lil membranes 2 digest!but there r few souls always in search..lost in a land not desired but deserved..i m 1 of em!.sigh...but i do get my share of Es n As n blacks thru sum contacts but As r totally unheard by even the dealers!..lucky fews get the music from back home n listen to it at home..dats all.else u jus end up in sum house music party played by sum overhyped guy u have never even heard of!..yeah n when under d influence u r always in the fear of the green men...COPS!..ends up in havin a negetive trip..but u have 2 get used 2 it..cos this is the place v r bound 2 b stuck..right?..thanx 2 my frn who jus visited me from mumbai being my santa n brought me sum goodies...As...have been munchin them since last 2 months n i m back 2 normal land!..anyways any1 interestd in gatherin psyheads here jus call me...0504468426!..hari om....luv psychoshiv!

Well, I lived a few hundred miles down-south in Muscat until a coupla months ago, and trust me, it was gr8 while it lasted.
I guess u just need the rite ppl around u and then it doesn't matter where the party's at! Also, I sumtimes kinda miss the intimacy that came with being part of a very select tribe.
Just keep it real low tho, coz me and a coupla mates found-out the hard way with 12 days of being in the slammer!
As for nething happening in Dubai, I'd suggest y'all get in touch with the dudes at Ohm Records - last I heard, they organised a few parties there and shit. Maybe y'all will get lucky!
Have fun and spread the vibe..

i come to dxb once every 6 months or so n so far ive not heard of any psy scenes there at all let alone scenes for Ds.. the cops there are too strict man.. but its nice to see that there are a few psy heads in dxb.. maybe next time i come i wont get that fried.. |
