Sup fellow friends of isratrance 
This forum rises from the curiosity of mine to know what do you think about this question.
My answer is tha drugs hv become definetley a part of psychedelic scence and i dont see nothing wrong with that. The problem is when abuses take place.
Use it dont abuse it

PSYCHEDELIC trance. Psychedelic is a word that was created by Dr. Humphry Osmond solely to describe drugs which profoundly affect the psyche.
Without psychedelic drugs this scene never would have existed. Those hippies in goa weren't just getting high off of meditation (although meditation certainly can do that).
Without psychedelics this scene will slowly go down the tubes. I wouldn't consider MDMA to be psychedelic, although it certainly is a fun, unselfish & happy drug. Cocaine and alcohol are fun too, but clearly put many users into selfish states. Notice that I used the word 'many', and not the word 'all'.
I'm not saying that everyone should use drugs all the time at every party. I'm not even saying that everyone requires psychedelics to go to other places. But some people, myself included, need a little assistance every now and then. |

drugs are just the way to enhance the experience at a party but only for sum people....
i have gone to partys with and without taking drugs and it doesnot make a diffrence to me as long as there is a good vibe at the party
but psychedelic drugs are certainly very much a part of the scene..LS and X

Some people make strong association between psychedelic trance and psychedelic drugs. IMO must of the time they're right, BUT there can be psychedelly without drugs.
The only fact here is: psychedelic drugs can enhance the psychedelic, but they can also enhance the Bad Trips and Paranoia. You have to think about it.
You say: the problem is when abuses take place. Well, define "abuse". It's difficult...

Sure psychedelics are part of the scene. UNDISPUTED! But the problem nowadays is abuse. And look at it in a more general way. We cross the "line" too many times. Not only with drugs. With everything. But the thing is that you can feel really trip without them. Thats for sure! But most of the times you miss that feeling and just wantto fly as fast as possible.

Besides trance is just a nueron sensory tool that stimulates the brainwaves in ways no other music can. Do it for the music not the drugs
as for the drugs
that is just a bonus since we ravers too would not like to be soo different from are more sinister counterparts.
so for us there are blue skys, cool air trees and trance music.

so it is not dependent on drugz. maybe it can make it easier to arrive at the "trance" state. but certainly, it is not a necessity.

well.. trance artists use a lot of drug names and samples on their tracks.. lots of people use drugs in clubs and nature parites.. so it's not a surprise why people connect trance to drugs
