Looking forward to a party that is warm for a change. Tired of freezing my butt off.
As far as the talk about pop vs dark trance and blah, blah, blah... Can't we all just get along? If you don't like it, go sit in your car and refresh yourself until something that you like comes on. (if you are at the ranch)
I like dark trance. In fact, you will rarely hear me playing anything other than dark trance at parties. However, since my daughter was born, I have a much deeper respect for "pop" or "light" or "morning" trance. I like feel-good music. You know why? Well, it makes me feel good. (duh!)
Like when Dino played last year. Amazing man, I tell you. Amazing! Funnest set I have heard.
I don't write raves like this too often, but I get tired of hearing the negativity that goes on. If we weren't complaining about things all the time or putting other genre's down, we might just have something nice to say about something or to somebody.
Trance is trance, man. Whether it makes your eyes roll back in your head, stomping around like you are some god-forsaken lunatic, or whether you just stand in one place with the sun beating down on your face smiling and looking at all the happy people around you dancing like it is the last day of their lives.
By the way, what is pop trance? It sounds groovy and not thrashing? How many clubs do you go to in LA or SF where they are playing Astrix or GMS on a regular basis? Not many if at all.
It just sounds like the same old BS. Just like someone who listens to heavy metal thinks that Hip hop sucks (or visa versa). It is a way that we identify ourselves. "This is what I like and everything else sucks", is how that mentality goes. Because if I like other things, then I won't be special.
Dark smark! Morning smorning! Trance rocks.(or trances if you will).
Wow, I feel better.

I love it all!
Proggy,full on,dark minnimal.dark deep morning,tech,etc,etc,etc.............
I dont like to close myself to any music.
I find joy in all types,as long as the production is good.Im not just talking psytrance either!
Anything in life,variety is the ultimate!
Anixi will have it all!VARIETY!
Oh ya,Dinos set to me was the best ive ever heard

well said, psyclops. I second that!! people who closed themselves might not know good music, or even their life maybe? I feel sorry for them because they are aparting themselves from any chance and any music that they might like...Why you just enjoy dark music? why only morning ?? Life is not created for one way,you need spiced it up to enjoy even more...I will not say anything if you are ended up with loving only darks after many experiences and listening all kinda music, but usually this kind of people will not claim their openion in public like forum...they are wise enough
For me, I like them all except guitar or embarassingly melodic tracks....oh I need shut my mouth up...talking too much....damn wine!

I feel the you connect to different sounds at different times. I could walk into a party and not feel the smile inside at all..i'll get into the darkness..get lost in it..feel like I want to peel the paint off the wall..and after a good set walk out a better person..I evolved with the darkness. Other nights like a Thursday..you see all these smiling faces..it you played too dark and not dancy enough you could be considered the anti-christ to some people. I personally like to see the crowed shift as I play.They shift when you shift..new faces ..new vibes..keeps it alive..isnt that why we come out?? To get out of the mundain of life? To fly and smile ?Thats why I'm there bro..and this shit doent get OLD??!!still..
I cant wait for the ranch!! |
