I think the best way to show your appreciation is to dance your ass off!!

Rather than feeling that you're about to have the rug pulled from under you, let me teach you how to dance on a flying carpet

what if some one likes the music but dont like to dance?

what if an injury doesnt allow some one to dance his ass off?

what if Stephen Hawkins goes to a party?

.........

well the answer is:

TROW YOUR UNDERWEAR TO THE ARTIST/DJ AFTER THE PERFORMANCE.

Only if you're a hot chick Wouldn't want a smelly, dirty, underwear from some nasty sweating raver hitting me in my face, thank you very much!

I personally like to hoot & cheer for the artist/dj especially if he made me dance my ass off for an hour or two..

@ Goddess of chaos

Don't worry i'll wait a couple of secs after you're done before i start my live

i hope so!!! 3-5 seconds of appreciation is the least an artist should receive for his lenghty performance... if he/she was good that is.

I think a little break is what is correct, but normally is the dj or artist before and the one after that speak each other to see how to do it

I personally prefer to let the last track finish, wait some seconds and then start..

If you don't like to danc eis a shame, you loose a way to let your body express himself and move on the music and the energy, dancing is a magic thing, it would such a shame not liking to dance!

Is an ancient form of expressing joy and liberty!

i 've gone to numerous parties and festivals.....in my opinion i think that the audience really want to bow for their adorable moments that groups give to them. But there are many artists that think they are the number 1 in the world and when they finish their set or live they leave in a moment and i am refering to Astral Projection who do that many times....On the other hand artists like Deedrah or X-Dream are so friendly that they may sit down and talk to you even hours....So i've ended to a conclusion....The quality of personality is followed by the quality in music!!!

Not really, i believe whenever u put in your heart, blood & sweat into something-- appreciation then is like motivation and feedback... However i was asking in the 'organizers' perspective if u know what i mean

i HATE when the music stops for applause. if you really enjoyed the set, go up and tell the dj/artist. i think the flow is more important than applause...
except at the end of the party than i love to scream and yell for 10 more tracks...           Bringing Dreams to Life!

i dont think anything should be forced.........

appreciation will be given where it is due.....

in its own way..... naturally......

by turning off the music.......you are expecting feedback from the crowd........thats what you are doing......

and expecting anything from people you dont know ..... doesnt seem to be in the "spirit" of things.....

i know when i do something for someone.......i dont expect them to thank me.........of course it is nice to hear it........but i didnt help that person so that they could thank me later.........i did it because that is what i thought was the right thing to do......

i appreciate the hard work that you guyz do for us......allowing us to be able to dance and groove and jump around and smile........for this i thank you.....

but too expect it........i dont know...........doesnt seem to be in the "spirit" of things......and what i mean by the "spirit" of things.........is that i have always felt that the loss of ego was something that "psychedelic" scene represented to me........

that it is a "good" way of life to try to live by this.........for everyone not just the dj or artist......

after all........isnt it not suppose to be about the artist..........but rather the MUSIC?

either way......whether the music is paused or not.......i will show my appreciation in my own way........and i wont think any different of the artist if the music is paused.......

just that this was a thread asking which one do you prefer? and i prefer continouos music......

respect

Perhaps that could wait until after the set

You know i think the best appreciaton would be to roll a spliff & go hand it to the artists/dj's..I know that would make my day!           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic
