Has any artist album blow you away so far this year - not comp - but album.

For me Panick has. The attention to detail, tons of different sounds , killer production.
Easy to groove to and better to sit back and listen to after a smoke with some good headphones. Wow - killer stuff.
He's up there with the best of em in my book.

IM's new one and younger Brother are also great but I don't think they've impressed me as much as Panick has.

What has really impressed you this year.
No comps allowed.

Vibrasphere - Lime Structure

To me, this album is probably the best progressive full-length album from an artist I have heard. It is hypnotic, clean, has nice melodies that do not necessarily dominate the songs, the songs develop over their entire length without being boring at any point, and it has very nice rhythmic work.

This, to me, is my picture of progresive, and Lime Structure fulfills it *perfectly*.

Here are some samples.

Funny thing is that the first few times I heard just the samples (2.5 minutes long), I didn't like it. But when I heard it in full length, it blew me away to no end and I had to go buy it immediately. Usually I can tell from long samples whether or not I will like it, but this one took awhile to grow on me. Now it has probably become my favorite release (artist album or comp) for this entire year so far.

Dude, Total agreement! altough i have to say that with Sub6's debut coming this fall, cant say i will stick with Panick to the end of 2003.

PS. Bonky-2 and the new Zirkin - The Dance Show are totally rabid! to me they are a whole differnt sound category, not mainstream at all and askewed properly to excite my brain.           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

The most impressive album so far for me came from Germany. It is Oszilla - Return to Neverland , a magnificent cd by Andreas Weber . The album is variated . You can find dark and evil moments, fluffy & cheesy , groovy & melodic and above everything is very but very atmospheric, massive pads and layers , great basslines and yes it can be groovy even with its hard kicks and snares..
I believe this album is one of the biggest suprises this year..(like domi pastor's album in 2002) I cant wait to listen to the dancefloor this one !

As from popular groups i ll say i like Spirallianz -Stereopark , not so hard like their previous album but definetely more variated and interesting.

- Cosmic tone album is great also !
- Silicon Sound is good melodic and very danceable
- Dark Nebula is VERY WILD ALBUM - digital hardcore , a Megablaster!

and ok and i have to say that i am dissapointed with shuldt's work.. anyway tha new xenomorph is on the wayyyy...

is it true that x-dream and hux-flux will produce a new album this year?

For me at least until now is (even though it was released in Japan last year) the new JouJouka album "The New Asians" Tsuyoshi hasn't lost his crazyness.           Kinetic Honda GmbH, Worldwide Supliers of Quality noise.

The only thing that surprised me this year is Sub6 - truly refreshing.

as for the rest, nothing amazing imo.           the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist....
