but here's the thing.. once AIs reach knew heights, and get ridiculous processing power, and evolve on their own.. at what point do they actually achieve a 'life' of their own?
perhaps they could love.. maybe it would even be necessary at some point. and given a body, as synthetic flesh/organs become better developed, who is to say a robot could never make love?
...
not that I wanna get it on with a bot.. but moki's musings got me thinking about it.. it really would be interesting.. an AI that developed it's own way of thought, and logic, and emotion.. it would have it's own fears, desires, temptations.. and be fundamentally different than any living creature (or maybe not? maybe we are just spiritually inclined robots)
