Any international acts touring the US in July?

Well, AFAIK... Shift and Phyx are now living in the UK... That would make flights much cheaper that flying someone from South Africa. Also I think somewhere in the forum archives there is a post from Phyx mentioning that he would be coming to the US for a bit. Not sure on when that was though.
I think Broken Toy lives a lot closer to us now as well, I'll have to ask him about that..
I would be happy just to see any of the Russian artists out here. I missed Parasense when they came to SF several years ago.
Personally, I would love to see Scorb again. He totally rocks it everytime he plays and his music can transverse multiple substyles.

Phyx with be coming through soon, with his brother. Tour includes PAs by Phyx, Tickets, and brethern. But I believe the date is more in the March/April time frame. Scorb may be coming soon again as well, but nothing firm on this that i know of yet. Bim from Midijum should be coming through this summer period, but no specific dates. As far as Parasense, well Jeff, if you're interested, you know who to contact.

I am fine will all South African Artists + thegooddale choices. I want to promote more underground night sounds and psy techno. Also I would be interested in SF artists and DJs.
So when the calendars shape up I want to get involved
I am also open for progressive acts. I have a good friend here who is the co-owner of Balloonia. So I would def do a progressive party with him if the opportunity came about. |

Jeff, i guess we've been dreaming of Parasense in Texas for a while now, but i believe it is quite a financial and logistical effort to bring them (visa problems etc).
How about Kindzadza??? ....droool.....
Anyway, if everyone agrees on a couple of the South African artists, count Shiva Shakti (Texas) in.
I don't think there's a polling ability on isratrance, so let's post our opinions on these two criteria:
TIMEFRAME: July 05
ARTISTS: Broken Toy / Phyx / Shift / (Protoculture??)
Is someone willing to coordinate this effort?
now to find a good beach to have the party at ....

howdy,
well, i am a promoter in humboldt county... and would be interested in bringing any south africans... talked with phyx about coming here in march/april along with mist... but july...
we also have south africans here, a dj by the name of mulu associated with the beartrap productions in cape town...
so, drop me a pm if any one is interested... there are also several other artists who would love to come here too as well...

I just sent Broken Toy an email seeing if he might be interested in coming out. I also sent him a link to this discussion, so if he felt so inclined he could contact the neccesary parties involved....

A lil birdy tells me that Shift is confirmed to come down in late August.
The birdie also tells me that he needs more promoters to reduce the cost and is ready to play for as cheap as $600

Just a couple of clarifications.
Psylink - nothing is confirmed for Shift, since I was the one trying to organize the tour for him. The price is right though, but that would be only, and only IF, we were 4-5 promoters to book him in a 3-4 week time span.
I have emailed a lot of you concerning this request for Shift in the month of July. We ( AlienCrew ), in Montreal, are going for the weekend of June 11th.
Shift has a british passport, but doesn't live in Europe. He has lived there long enough to get the passport and moved back if Im not mistaken. If you guys would be interested in the area of end of August - September ( since Shift will only be available as of the 27th ), Im sure we can work out something. We'd be flying him from South Africa, Cape Town, since he has to go back home visit the wife since he would finish a 2 month tour ( totally understandable! ).
As I know, only Vana and James ( Rinkadink, and Broken Toy ) reside in Europe now, going for their British passports.
I know for a fact, thats its not that easy for them to get the Visa for the USA because of their South African passports.
I have booked Vana last year in June, and tried to share him with a US promoter, and was told by the booking agent it would be impossible. I even had to make sure the charter flight didnt stop in the US.
Now, for Shift. I am presently in contact with him and I really want to make this happen, since its not everyday we can get prices like that for Artists of that caliber. Im willing to throw my event either in June or end of August - September, depending on the other promoters that will be involved on this deal.

I suggest that we start a discussion group of some sort, or some kind of network to know, who is bringing who, and when.
Right now, I dont have the kind of skills to start to kind of calendar on my website, I was wondering if anyone else can
This way everyone could be aware of each other`s bookings, and when, so that itd be easier to share.
