Lately I've been re-discovering some really kick-ass old trance like Jam & Spoon - Follow Me, Dance 2 Trance - Freaks, Sven Vath - Design Music (Original Mix), Transform - Transformation, Release - Dance in Eden, 808 State - Mondonet, The Odd Company - We Are Experienced, Orbital - Naked and the Dub... basically trance that's very repetitive and has a very sloooow progression. Anyone else has some more recomendations in the likes? |

I still keep a copy of the Logic Trance 2 compilation in my car from that era, when nothing else fits that goes on. I'd recommend you track down a copy (later pressings were MTV branded but don't let that put you off).

Cosmic Baby-Fantasia
Cosmic Baby-Loops of Infinity
Cosmic Baby-Space Track
Cosmic Baby-Heavens Tears
Marmion-Schonenberg
Visions of Shiva-How much you can Take?
Paul van Dyk-Forbidden Fruit
Exit EEE-Earcatcher
Art of Trance-Two full moons and a Trout (Casper Pound Mix)
Illuminatae-Tempestada
Jam&Spoon-Right in the Night
and as you say Follow ME!
The German Trance released in this era 92~95
have the genuine essence of Trance. I remember
that I was really dancing in Trance. Nowadays
trance, the essence is not there for me anymore.
From my point of view fake trance with no passion.

"Two full moons and a trout" is a track by Union Jack, not Art Of Trance. Both are Platipus-artists, but anyway .

Hi, man try the "Trance Europe Express" series which features very fine artist from the old school such as The Drum Club - the best trance band ever, according to my humble opinion.
Love & Peace.

LOL word up! tom anteater...behind the eye volume 1: this is the only CD i've ever stolen. i was a big band jazz dj at my university radio station in 94-95 and this CD was sitting in the stacks for the 'techno' guy to review. i started listening to it as i was playing my show, and just decided that the 'techno' guy wouldn't miss it as he didnt even know it was there yet, and i couldnt leave it with out it.
one of the best decisions of my life
btw: medium records: passion comp. makes me think we've come full circle. i could mix old eye q and new medium all day
peace |
