i m looking for stuff a bit like this but modern, i think it s acid house? or trance music already? strange this style is abandoned it s awesome..a nice mix of techno trance and house.
what is funny is that some track in this mix sound very fresh, more fresh than lot of todays psytrance and it s 20 years old !

If I understand you correctly, you're looking for new music that sounds like proto goa trance?

You can find some tracks that have an early goa sound... they're rare, but try looking in space disco, spacesynth, and dark electro genres.

Electrotete - Alcatraz something very very outstanding. Something more similar to this? Amazing atmosphere.

For protoforms of goa, check the first Trilithon album.
But your subject must be reformulated, since many don't get it.

I understand what he's looking for, but I have no clue what artists played proto-goa in the 1988-1992 period. His 91' mix clarifies a lot in terms of what he is looking for. Is there a tracklisting for that 91' mix? If you get a tracklisting you can search for other tunes by the artists in that mix.

The only proto-goa album I've heard was SFX before they became Astral Projection. Interesting stuff, if only for obscure music history buffs. However the stuff posted on this thread is interesting. The space synth tune is nice, which is rare since I don't usually like the way space synth is produced.

Here are some artists that made proto goa trance, 88-92:

The Mackenzie
Oliver Lieb
Eon
Robotiko Rejekto
The Invincible Spirit
Jarvic 7
Stardiver
Presence
Electrotete
Orbital
Sunkings
Voov
Dark Comedy
Electronic Voodoo
The Overlords
Quazar
Dr. Baker
Eskimos & Egypt
Noise Control
The Infinity Project
Man With No Name
Eat Static
ABS
Konzept
Klangwerk
Megabeat/Interfront
Dance 2 Trance
LDC
Atahualpa
Trust In 6
Time Modem
The Force Dimension
Space Opera
Outlander
CJ Bolland

All of which falls under the umbrella of 'techno', or at least it did. For some reason old school, trancy techno just hasn't experienced a wave of revival and resurgence in the way that most forms of dance music have. I don't know why. Maybe with all the interest in early goa parties there will be artists making trance-techno sounds again?
