You bet they are, if it wasn't for those ppl I couldn't use windows, office, photoshop, dreamweaver and all the other expensive programs I need to do my stuff....otherwise I'd have to sell myself to slavery to earn enough money to buy all that stuff 
and btw I wonder how many artists use original music making software
of course there is a negative side to it all...like viruses, exploits etc....and as for music protection...just start making better music and you'll sell enough without the need for copy protection

I know what it's called like...but I'd like to know how many ppl here who keep sayin how this whole mp3 thing sux have only legal and original software...and only original music...
