+1 about Auralex being terrible. Depends which you try, but you can get so much more for your money imo.
A while ago I think I paid $100 usd for something like a 24-32 sq. ft. pack, and even using all of them scattered all over the walls there was only a vague difference, and only in the high end.
I've gotten better results just putting a futon in the room. You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me?

That's cos foam panels are only designed to deal with the high mids upwards, and futons are heavy enough to deal with lower frequencies, which is obviously where you also have a problem in your room.
Working out exactly what the problem in your room is, and then doing a bit of research into why you have that problem and what you can do about it is much better than buying a random pack from a name brand and 'scattering' them all over the walls. Much better to concentrate on a few key areas, and at least make your mix position sound better, even if you can't do the whole room.

Yeah I know..I wasn't expecting to be able to use them as bass traps, but even at $100 they weren't at all worth the price. Didn't literally scatter them all over the walls either.
The room I'm stuck with now is unfortunately the worst room I've ever worked in, so the futon against the back wall, two realtraps bass traps in the front wall corners, and some less dense foam panels on the side walls works pretty well. Haven't used any Auralex products in over 3 years...

well same again, made a new mix ,gave more attention to the stereo image, arrangement, no melodies (since i dont have a midi board to play with atm)
the bass is playing midi without any processing at all, left it as it is
so any comments on the "bad" things or unwanted are welcomed isra fellows (prefer to tell me the mistakes, please)
sorry if im bothering with all this check and such.. thanx a lot

Bass and kick sound slightly dull. Great selection of notes for the bassline around 0.56 though. I like the general vibe you got going.
Put some rough leads in, work on the mix a bit and it will be a hell of a track http://soundcloud.com/martianarts

thanks man ,agree with pipe&slippers ,nice vibe but their is something i don t like with the kick bass processing
what you can try is to find a track in the same style ,one that sound good at your place, and loop 2 bars in your sequencer, one bar your kick and bassline then the other track (with only the kick and bass playing if possible) and match the sound with eq ,won t be hard to find some setting you like that way cause you dont get lost , their is always the other track to remind you how things must be balanced. ( sometimes i do this even with making my kick and bassline patch and it work great.)

nice, thank you PoM
i have in mind some changes for bass + kick, have in mind that now the kick is unprocessed and the bass is playing midi - no eq's-comp, so still try to fit them with the less process i can and fix their timbres from the start as better as possible
finally (another thought) maybe switching the kick sample (a kick with attack, to have that "slap" sound) be the solution and fit better with some eq onthe bass
in search for best balance always

the bassline is ok imo, with some processing it ll sound good but the kick maybe you can find/do a other one..this one is very soft,it give a nice vibe to the track but i like it more in your face ,just a matter of taste.(the sample sound already processed and i think even with no processing a other kick could sound better)

That bassline reminded me that I need to add a square wave on my next tune for bass Are you by any chance using Logic gutter?

Im gonna disagree with most, i like the bass and kick.. i like the bouncy feel of it.
i think you should decide yourself what you like.

The bouncy feel is great. Its just that it could do with a bit of definition on the high mids mostly and the bass has some really low stuff that could do with a bit of rolling off, imo always.
By the way, the kick sample sounds good, just give the click a bit more presense. http://soundcloud.com/martianarts
