BEFORE TAKING ANY CONCLUSION PLEASE READ ALL THE STORY BELOW.
I've come to report these facts with the credibility of a person who works with bookings of international artists since 2001 - I've been through brazilian agencies as BPM Agency, FOP, Wild Artists Management and was a partner for 4 years of 4am Artist Management in São Paulo.
I worked with the "artist" Andromeda aka Anders Nilsson in the past and therefore the organization of Shivaneris Festival approached me in December 2012 to close a tour with him here in Brazil.
As at other times in which we negotiate, our contact was made entirely by email. He answered my messages normally and we closed the deal for him to come to Brazil to play in Shivaneris Festival (São Paulo) on March 31 and Jurassic Party (Rio de Janeiro) on April 7.
His only requirement it was receiving 50% of the fee in advance (at Sweden) to reserve both dates. Normally I do not work like this, but as he was a respected name on psytrance scene for us until then we decided to send this amount to him.
We issued the international ticket and sent half of the fee on Feb. 21, one month before the first party - as agreed. I have both receipts with me in case someone wants to see them.
Two days after sending the money we received a message on Facebook from someone named Linus Eriksson, claiming it was his former partner in the project Chromosome. He said he was concerned about Anders, because nobody in Sweden knew of his whereabouts for 6 months, and told us that Anders had missed at a new Year's party in Serbia where he was announced to play.
Since we had just issued his international ticket and sent 50% of the money to him, we had not much to do but rely on Anders word and hope that this was a misunderstanding between the two ex-partners.
Again I repeat, as I worked with him in the past and had no problem we believe in his response confirming that everything was still OK, even after the conversation with Linus.
Meanwhile (two weeks ago) I also sent him a domestic flight for the party in Rio, as well as booking the hotel, they both follow to confirm:

Already on the week of the first party (last week) he simply stopped answering my e-mails and his mobile phone was always at voicemail. Considering this very strange I called the travel agency on the date of his international flight and found out that he DIDN’T SHOWED UP FOR THE FLIGHT TO BRASIL.
So all connecting flights he had were canceled and this is proof positive that the "artist" ACTED IN BAD FAITH. We had hope that the New Year party in Serbia was only an unexpected, but now we are sure that Anders is applying this type of scam in party organizers.
Everything was made and sent to him according to their requirements and now he's gone and left us without an explanation. I'm trying to contact him by phone and e-mail since the 27th march and no return whatsoever.
I'll put his contacts here and I ask you all to SEND E-MAILS demonstrating public outrage with this lack of professionalism.

thats a hell a lot of money for an artist of that ... 'rank'.... its actually really sad having such kind of experience,totally undermining any trust and loalty within the scene... shame on that Swedish scum then..... wtf .... people paying for ur travels just for u to go there, spin&promote your vibes.... what on earth is this..i cant believe how miserable that guy must be. seriously! obviously he should take a break ... and Swedish people, to be honest, are the least people of Europe to be having some sort of financial or economic difficulties, matter of fact is that Sweden has easily the highest standards of living for whole Europe in terms of salaries and what else, so we have an artist here who purportedly presents himself as professional touring to all the 5 continents,spreading the 'scandinavian soundscape' and shit.... that guy should first of all have really made a public statement and returned the money he has requested in advance! And second of all, i think he should feel ashamed... but some people , lacking manners, who just dont want to listen to anything else ... deserve NO RESPECT! Thats why i have such a tone right now. Seriously,hey, what a prostitute... u only pay the prostitutes in advance, dont u eh ? Success with tracking ur money back ...seriously, if i were u, as well i would never ever make contacts with that booking agency ...

Wow i am very sad to hear that this situation happened also in Israel... i dont have hope to get any response from him, i just want to spread this bad experience around the internet so other party organizers can learn from that.

I heard it from my Israeli booker who is the one who got scammed from him. I don't think you'll get your money back..sadly.

Hello everybody!
On behalf of Vertigo Records we can say that we get to know about all that accidents from here or other third party sources.
As normally we do provide bookings services for all our album release artists but not for Andromeda and Chromosome. It was not ever part of our deal.
The album "Equilibrium" that was finally released on Vertigo last summer was actually signed and paid in full 5 years back. And just last year it was finally ready and we released it according to our agreement. Nothing more, we also lost any contacts with Anders since that time. Even it was few issues regarding in correct track titles and not mentioning Argaman as author of one of the track "Inharmonic Symphony" which become clear only when album was released and CD were printed.
So i can only say that it's really disappointing for us, that really talanted artist is having such sort of bad reputation among promoters and fans who was waiting for his new album tour.
If there is anything else we can do on our side, we are open for cooperation.

im not sure if i should write this because this is tragedy for everyone... some former friends claim they have seen anders in his home town some months ago.. but no one nows where he is or if he lives... i heard that not even his family or friends now where he is.. so i really hope he will get back to him self and get profesional help for his problems...

Some months ago he scammed me and one more person when he claimed to sell various items. The amount was about 200eur each. Its sad that he does not eaven Care about his reputation... Wish him the best on his way to recovery though. |
