hello israheadz,
we're happy to let you know that Androcell has just self-released a short epilogue to Effloresence called Further Unfolding. These two songs were composed in the same period as Effloresence, but did not make it on to the album. Quasga considers this a short postscript to the album.

Holy smokes dude. I'm perplexed.
Why werent these jems released on the album? Is it possible to buy the wave file editions, so I can play them on massive speaker systems to many people?
Either way, I find 2 bucks a bargain, and will have to be content with downloading these two mp3's to my iPod and playing them at home and/or in the car.
Unless of course I get into the habit of playing mp3's when I DJ.
Which leads me to another topic...
How do people feel about using mp3's when they DJ?
Any thoughts on this anyone? Is it cool? Is it OK? And most importantly, will the public try to break my balls if I play a mp3 on a massive system? |

It does make quite a difference on the bigger sound systems. I don't think as many non-DJs or non-artists seem to notice, but if any of your peers are in attendance when you play MP3s on a big sound system, you'll most likely get some feedback from them.
I've been trying to limit myself to playing MP3s only on smaller sound systems (since I play chill music I'm often playing on a smaller system at a party) and use WAV whenever possible. You end up having to EQ the hell out of a lot of MP3s when playing them on a primo sound system, and you can especially tell the difference if you play one right after or before a WAV. Unimstakable to my ears.
Of course, if the original track is not available for sale anymore uncompressed, and all you have is an MP3, there are times when you simply must play it (gorgeous track, fits in well with the rest of your set, etc.), but I guess the self-respecting thing to do is to try and make it the exception rather than the rule. At least, that's my philosophy. Your mileage may vary. |

I don't use to play mp3's especially on big sounds system, you can hear the difference and it could be a pain to the listeners.
Maybe 192 k, but 320 is sounding really too high and harsh.This is just good to be played at home or in your car, guys.
Please Maer, let me know where I can buy those gems in .Wav, I don't mind paying 2,3,4, or even 5$ for each of those trax from Androcell.
As I don't want to fool people on the dancefloor or track fitting in my set or not, my philosophy is to respect the artist and the listeners, not to be "happy" because I did a "good" set.(So not an ego issue, here!)
To me, mp3's are for demo purposes or home listening pleasure...

Massive thanks to those buying the EP.
Your support helps me avoid having to read comments at other forums like "androcell sounds like Ott on a budget".... 
Help me so that my music quality is not limited by my finances, but by my lack of experience and knowledge of music production.

Before saying something like that, they need
to think, obviously, that what they can't do
whatsoever. For me your music is on the same
level as Ott's. You are both very talanted
musicians and thank god that he is giving the
people like you the talent to create such a
wonderful music which the rest of us live for.
No matter what tools do you use to make music,
your talent is speaking for itself.
And I am proud that we have our own American
psychill/ dub/ ambient music which is on the
same level as Europian's. Just create and
don't listen to any foolish comments.
