hey now, sometimes you play for free because it's worth it to the scene you're trying to build. i'm glad that you've been in this shit long enough to make a profit (BA) but alot of us are trying to do some new shit that really doesn't make any money.
i only charge when i use my sound rig and provide gear for the shows. other than that, i don't expect to make anything off of it.
this is a tiny scene, so to expect payment for anything local is silly. to play for free and travel, however, is silly as well. i'm more than happy to play anywhere if my expenses are covered. and maybe some free beer in the mix for good vibes?

axis, if you didnt read the "rant", why do you make an effort to comment on it and make a fool of yourself? think for yourself is not exactly your moto in life, no? i said that 2 000 000 goes for artists and 2 000 000 goes for cultural activists. pretty balanced i find. who cares so much about the four big names that were there. i enjoyed the fusion most in the night with the no names.

I didn't read the whole rant either, but indeed we got paid at Fusion, it wasn't our usual fee but not far from it. It was also worth every second. This was however last years Fusion so I can not speak of this years. I doubt it changed though. Sorry for offtopic.

so happy i didnt see any of you at the fusion. next time they could cut the sound at that floor even more. + i did not say they dont get paid. read the rant before you comment - or dont read it and dont comment. as easy as that no?
