Well regarding Ambient, i highly recommend the albums of Future Sound Of London : Accelerator, Amorphous Androgynous - Tales of Ephidrina, Lifeforms, ISDN and Dead Cities. I listen to them continuosly to chill out before getting into psy trance and techno stuff.
Psy Ambient producers i like are Deviant Electronics. In my opinion they offer a very good flow between Psy Trance and Ambient.
Regarding Tribal Trance, here in Europe, especially in London, Dj Steve Lawler is very well known for it. Check out his track - "Rise In" - it has a very relaxing vocal and a really tribalistic rhythm. I love it much. Steve Lawler's mixes are based mainly on percussions and deep minimal grooves. Its more of a flow between Tribal House/Trance. In London well known as Tribal Underground.
However a very good Tribal Trance album which differs from the sound of Steve Lawler is the album of Juno Reactor - Shango. I found it very interesting but i prefer Transmissions.

[The best chill out cd for 2000 is by far Ambient Meditations 3 from rtts.mixed by the master Youth.Juno reactor ,cat von trap,another green world,dead can dance,trns global underground,makyo etc.Deep dive corp. are doing a good work but more funky,not so psy-ambiet.for the lovers of jazz-juju space jazz-intersound.a release that can be heard from a kid to a grandma!dub trees from dragonfly for a more deep tribal relaxation.check out klangstahler projet s album as well.I loved liquid dub two years ago.If you find it buy it-s.posford,youth,doof and co. sends you out of space.Of course almost all the cds the other guys are talking about are great.I thought it would be better to talk for those that are not mentionned.If you are a begginer the first cd you must have is shpongle.I cant wait for the new one!color=Red][/color]

Hey brothers!
well..my best psy-ambient compilation for 2001 is by far voyage into paradise by the master dr.Alex Paterson..(nomads of dub,killing joke,dub trees etc),also,you must check global psychedelic chillout vol.2 by spirit zone!(a beatiful ambient and freestyle journey into your mind!)
