It's just a simple 2 note saw bassline - I fail to see how this is amazing at all, but anyways...
Same as every other psy bass....I hear nothing special about this at all, just the regular filter/amp/env settings. No resonance, link cutoff to an envelope with no sustain, no attack, no release, just a bit of decay. Link Velocity to Cutoff as well if you want to introduce a little variation per note.
I'm 100% sure Sylenth can do this really well, and the pattern is really simple too....
In a quarter of a bar you have 4x 1/16th note slots...
1st one is for the kick, leave the second one blank, fill in the 3rd and 4th slots and adjust note length to taste.

IMO you don't need sidechain for this style as there is more than enough space between the kick and the two bass notes...unless you have an absurdly long kick.

Well, maybe I don't understand something properly then...
You have a kick, you have a bass. You put a compressor on the bass channel which is sidechained to the kick so that every time the kick comes in the bass ducks the kicks frequencies...
Depending on the compressor settings you can either get a dramatic pumping effect or subtle tightening/cleaning up the low end to make sure everything sits nicely. Lot's of other stuff too.
However, the compressor only kicks in when the kick is playing, so in a traditional 3x 16th note bassline the compressor will only be active on the first note.
So, with the OP's youtube video in question where there are only 2 notes what would the purpose of the sidechain compressor be, considering that the kick is not close to the bass notes?
I mean, I guess if you were using a kick with a really long tail or something? It's entirely possible that I'm just not understanding some other use of sidechain compressors and if so I'd be glad to be made aware of it If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

So do I but you don't really need it because the notes don't overlap eachother, unless you have a long release.

you got the sidechain thing in reverse...
you duck the bassline in relation to the kick!

sure.. you can sc pads, fx etc. but you don't need to sc the bass. that was the issue. Or do you hear it on the bass?
