Am I wrong in this?

I have placed numerous orders with a certain company and for the most part, their customer service has been great. My psytrance CDs arrive in great condition. However, this last time, I received a wrong CD.
So I emailed the company and told them and they told me to send the CD back to them and they would send the correct one. This bothered me. Why should I have to pay shipping for their mistake? I live in the US and this company is in Europe. Not like it is around the corner. That is an added expense I don't feel I should have to pay.
I emailed them and said so, and they said if I pay for shipping they would pay to ship the correct CD. Well no kidding Einstein, since it was your mistake in the first place! After I sent 3 more emails trying to reach a compromise (tried to get them to throw in a CD and then I would send it) and getting no response, I finally agreed to do it on my dime.
I know I can afford the postage, but I feel this is a customer service issue and right now they are not providing very good service. Am I wrong in this? I would like to hear some opinions.

That is the Rison I never buy on line. imo they should give u the wrong CD for free and send u the one u ordered.

I should've said that one cd was missing and kept the wrong one. See, that is dishonest and I can't be that way.
But you're right, they should bend over backwards to make it right.

It depends on the shop conditions who is paying the return post. Normally the customer always pays for this. But when the wrong item is shipped the shop should pay the costs I think.

CDON.COM has screwed me over.. Twice actually. However, psyshop.com, where I've ordered maybe.. 60-70 albums from, haven't delayed, screwed me or sent me a wrong shipment once. They can't afford being dishonest and unprofessional, I guess. Keep it small

It was Psyshop. I would love to find a good trance shop stateside, but I haven't been able to locate one. Any ideas? The thing is, I have ordered LOTS of CDs from them and never had a problem. YOu would think with that kind of customer loyalty they would at least do their best to make it right.

I've had the same problem, only with Saikosounds.. but they didn't even argue with me and sent me the correct CD in my next order.. FREE  but then again, i've orderd so many times that i've probably sent there kids to collage.. lol..
please, use saikosounds.. its cheaper and the service is impecable.

The shipping is killing me. It would be so easier if there is a local distributer that carries psytrance CD's.
Does anyone know if there is such a store in the Tri-State area. New York city maybe? |

there used to be the infamous H.O.T (house of trance/home of trance/global trance/cyberdelic records) which is now an israeli deli... hehehe... but their prices were identical to those of imported cd's and even sometimes higher. at the moment there isnt anyone who is brining cd's on a mass level with intent to distribute to retail consumers. i was involved in a project to do just that, but for various reasons, the project was scrapped and the investor changed directions. as of now from what i understand, it isnt economically safe to start such a store, not enough customers...

i suggest you tell them that if they dont comply, you will be forced to report a credit card dispute to your c.card provider and that way, they will not see the money for sure... this isnt new from psyshop btw, they are good as long as things are smooth, once an error occurs - youre doomed... i recommend saikosounds as well.

I've been in this incident with Psyshop too - where they sent a wrong CD, which I returned and got the real one with haste. Had to pay for the shipment back though. But at least they send with great care (cardboard). My last package from Psysale had all the covers (incl. Son Kite - Colour) ruined to pieces, because they only use those useless yellow bags - and they wouldn't replace them. Just kept asking me if the CDs were okay. i've always had good service from psyshop and saikosounds, but damage to jewel cases is always consistent, maybe the customs people are causing this?
