I think the area around Tulum in the Mayan Riviera has serious potential to become a psy destination.

Visa process may be long and difficult; prices similar to the USA; otherwise - top of the list, for sure...

1) What about hotels hearby?
2) Where (in the internet) can one get info about planned parties?

I liked Gokarna as well

Too many tourists.. but if you want parties I guess it's a necessary evil.           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

Oh and what goes to Goa. WTF that place is raped so bad. It's like Koh Phangan, maybe even worse. Karnataka, now that's another story..

However.. India, wtf. Ever heard of recycling? Lots of pretty places but the amount of waste and pollution is beyond sick           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

Another serious candidate would be the Zipolite/Mazunte area in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Here is why:

1) Great beaches. Some calm, some nudist, some great for surfing. And lots of virgin beaches to make amazing parties. liberal vibe overall.

2) Liberal atmosphere with Nudist beaches and a very herb friendly people. Plus San Jose Pacifico is on the way to get there coming from Oaxaca City and that is where the mushroom grows, so a lot of people take them to Zipolite. And the area is just very free to do what you want.

3) There are already some electronic music parties going on, and if they started making psy trance events it would be the ideal fit for the people that visit that area because they are very hippie oriented. I am sure they would love psy trance.

4) cheap and nice places to stay.

One additional requisite: the place should have ALREADY EXISTING (maybe small) goa/psy parties scene (people&facilities).
