yay! I dont think 65 is so bad, anybody reading this shouldn't be bitching about the 95 door price since you obviously have more than enough time to get it in advance
thegooddale- "something like this" WTF is "this"? Alot of people like to drink champagne on new years(even....*gasp* trancers!), and its totally normal that Alladin is catering to this desire.

hey i'm all for a champagne toast at midnite to Horror Place and stomping to gil all dang nite long- but $65 presale?? holy crap!!
the only explanation i can think of is that the club must be very expensive to rent out on NYE... otherwise there is no justification for this price!!
anyway, those who can afford it, have fun. maybe the others can start up a NYE scholarship fund, he he.

Last year it was 50, then 60 presale, 70 at the door in a very very sick undeground venue. although $100 is not unheard of for NYC psytrance NYE (I never went to a $100 party tho, im proud to say). Its definatly not exactly an upscale club, but it is NYE in NYC. New Years is easily my least favorite holiday (except for 4th of July that is)

New Years Eve is an orgy of greed in New York. You'll find yourself paying $65 cover charges to get into *bars*, much less clubs. This isn't too bad by comparison.
Hypnotic will be a good venue as long as they are telling the truth about security...the last time it was a gang of Polish blow-monkeys. Definately not cool. |

Oops forgot all about that one. On second thought NYE is my 4th least favorite holiday after Columbus Day, Valentines Day, and the 4th of July. At least I can forget it's Columbus day on Columbus day, unlike the others. I cant stand it when holidays have such a frenzy of expectations surrounding them.

The has to go down in history as the biggest rip off in psytrance history. $65/95 for a party that is only 12 hours long/in a club/with a dj that doesn't know how to mix?
I know clubs in NY must be expensive, especially on NY, but some of that had to be the fee that Goa Gil is charging and I have to say, I am NOT impressed.

nah, $65 is rather standard for NYC on New Years.. Many parties in the past were upwards of $100.
