Brozaaaaaaa, it is very rare that a re-release will be economically viable for the label doing the release in the first place... It is a great thing in the first place in today's situation for an album to be sold out completely - like we saw with the Derango album for example & old Deja Vu Rec. releases. Even if CD's are re-released how many people will actually buy the CD unless its a Psykovsky - Debut or Derango - Tumult or Ghreg on Earth - Sigilweaver? And to add to that mastering costs more money unless the artist is doing the mastering themselves. Anyways i do agree that re-releases should be remastered even though it may not be practical

yeah i agree with u on some points there , but what is more important is also to keep in mind the fact .... that any album which will be re-released is getting released again only for the fact that it has been such a big hit , so automatically it does good things again for the label and artists that released it in first place

other point is the fact that most of the labels that had released some of the best albums in this genre like u mentioned in ur reply have changed there directions or the mode of thinking they had at the actual time of release of that stuff

i myself wont buy re-released stuff again if its not re-mastered , for the fact that the sound quality is always evolving, its becoming crystal clear as every season goes buy , so it will be actually harsh on my brain-cells atleast to hear the same db levels which were there in the original releases 3-4-5 years back ....
i hope u know what i mean , take any top label for that matter and cheack there last 2-3-4 releases , not all sound the same . everything is different .. there is a total spectrum shift happening : )

may be because i come from a bit of audio background probably that is why it concerns me more than others: )... .
and talking about the money involved in re-mastering , come on brother that music is timeless , and further 300-400$ can only boost its quality further ...that is peanuts for quality labels

its a shame that some labels fail to do so . but u never know may be after 5 years of the release ( as there is a law regarding that ) labels will get re-mastered versions of the same stuff ...

the main thing i was pointing out is mainly regarding the sound quality which existed 4 years back , and the one which exists now.. it has to be crisp-clear future, many parties operate only with high-end systems , so it would be fair enough to get the best output of psychedelia.
