The Last thing that I can say about me is that I'm a aggressive person. But I like very much aggressive music:

Do you think that the Rison why Arsim love Trance is because in their nature (no all of them) they are violent ppl?
Are there any arsim on only progressive parties?
I never seen in my life Ars listen to Prog trance in his car.

I can`t see any connection between "social status" and music,i think that case have more relation to drugs.
Lsd user prefer more agressive stuff,and anybody who swallowed 3-4 pills will dance to any tune he will hear.
I don`t define myself as a agressive person but i like "dark and agressive" music (death metal,hardcore etc.)
But this question is more complicated.Prog trance becomed popular in Israel in recent couple of the years,so it will take some time to spread.
Each person "building" his taste in music according to what other people listening surround,according to events he/she goes;and masses have more access to full on/psy parties because Prog scene trying to keep their events more underground.

I'm also the opposite of aggressive, but I love very much aggressive-dark-crazy-killa-fullon music. It get me in touch with my "manly" side, not in a primitive-stupid-violent sense, but in a more basic and natural way. I believe that this is why Arsim love so much artists such as Arstrix (wink), and don't play progressive in their Ars-mobiles. I wonder if they have at all a feminine side, or they just work hard on suppressing it. |

Yea and people that post stuff like that surely are mathematical geniuses. Dude, look at yourself in the mirror sometimes, you're as agressive as the people that you hate.
I am not agressive person at all and i don't like agressive music. The example that you gave (Misted Muppet) is a great one cause that's exactly the kind of vibe that i get from their music. Pure agression. Now i don't want to diss them a bit, they are highly skilled producers and also very good musicians, but i just can't stand the lack of delicacy in their music. It's like people that come close to your face when they talk to you. It's annoying in the same way. I don't know, perhaps it's the mastering of their album, but it's sooo over the line. My 3 cents.

I can understand some of what you are saying Pavel, but this is also where we come to an point of differring opinions. I am not an aggressive person socially. I use the music I write to release that aggressive side of myself so that it doesn't rear its head in a social situation that requires me to be delicate. There are occasions where I do like hearing delicate music, but for me it can't be dressed up in a dancefloor based suit. For delicate music, I listen to classical, or smooth jazz or something along those lines. For me dance music is a motion driven focal point for energies that can be deemed as aggressive, or simply as something that is driving... If i wanted something light and beautiful, I wouldn't listen to dance music to get it... But this is just my own view. Dancing for me is almost a sacred ritual that allows me to connect with many sides of myself, and the aggressive nature of many types of the music causes my body to react in a repetative motion (so to speak) while my mind is free to wander among itself... So for me if the music wasn't really driving, I would still be focused upon how I was dancing, whether I felt the music could even make me forget I was dancing, or what color that girl's shoes are....

That dude didn't say he wanted to be manly, he said that fullon get him in touch with his manly side, which is just one of the psychedelic experiences out there. With all the respect to D&B, it's not psychedelic (though I must confess that I don't know much about D&B, maybe I should really check it out). |
