I made all my kick like that.
it's exactly the same way like in the infected tutorial in soundforge.. after you did that once, its no problem to create new kicks in a few minutes. in my opinion the best way to creat kicks..
by the way, it works also whit snare drums.
use nois instead of a sine.. so you can creat your own very clear snares..

Yup. Its a good way i think too.
Anyone who writes for such tutorial - wasting time etc.
Is wasting time writing bulshits and doesnt give (in example) own option.
...
Great example.

What about stomper ? Isn't it easier to layer stuff in there ?

The best of kick tool - BazzISM. http://www.ismism.de/home_e.htm New version included envelope section to make "tipical" fullon kick envelope (env. down after click and later rise to sine kick body). Earlier this make with notch eq.

Lacks much control I find. Obviously if you get what you want out of it, then it's good but there's a good many things you can do with audition/soundforge that cant be done with bazzism/stomper and the like. |

Bazzism lacks definition... This form of creation provides deep balanced frequency. Bazzism seems to be to sharp and requires alot of eq... |

For those not using Audition and still using Sound forge, Ocelot put an old tutorial up a long time ago and I tend to use this tutorial when I feel like making my kicks... definitely less steps and he breaks it down visually for you too...
