mmmh... there's no need to go such far imo... although i really love trentemoeller's sounds but for a psy gathering...dunno. and tiga would be an excess for sure.

Last one was so fucking good! Best festival I've ever been to for sure. Beh I would love to come this year, but unfortunately I spent all my money travelling Europe this summer

I guess you as always had to write even when you dont have nothing to say... let me know something, have you ever been to the festival? and please let me know also what is inovation for you.

and no, I never said ALL artists were repeated, but many of them were.. why dont you make a list of the ones that were repeated already, and maybe you see what I mean?
what I meant is: I looked at the line up, and nothing really called my attention.. I saw many names that were there already...
yes sure there are some nice djs and artists.. but I somehow expect a bit more.. so I felt like expressing my opinion, just like other people expressed their opinions
if we talk in terms of brazillian festivals this year, the line up of tranceformation called my attention more, for example (but I didnt go because I was travelling elsewhere.. off topic: I heard it got cancelled, is it true?).. it seemed that they tried to get out of the norm a bit more..

Some nice djs and artists? Must be kidding...
When I see this line-up I can't believe in how many excellent artists are going to play at Universo Paralello... Ace Ventura, Aphid Moon, BLT, Etnica, Flowjob, Freq, Galactic Wave, Genetic Spin, Headroom, Oxyd, Penta, Polaris, Rinkadink, Tristan, Vaishiyas, Vibra, Dimitri, Edoardo, Emok, Kore, Max Lafranconi, Paulo Lopes, Shane Gobi, and many, many others.
A lot that never come to Brazil.
I'd only like to ask the UP orgs if you can't put in the line-up the live act Setherian, in my opinion the best brazilian live act nowadays. Would be very, very nice!!!
Well, and good luck!!! It's gonna be a fantastic UP, for sure!!!

@sherlockalien: Hey dude, if you think this line-up isn't innovative or whatever, you gotta think it over again. There are a bunch of artists, as Pedrão already posted, that never even came to Brazil or played at UP. Names suck as Magnetrixx, Audiomatrixx, Ace Ventura, Vaishiyas, Sync, Perfect Stranger, Allaby, etc. And all of them selected carefully, with awesome psychedelic sounds, non-commercial names. But if you prefer some more well-known names, I think UP is not meant for you. Bottom-line is: either you are unaware of these underground acts, or you're "fanfa" and wanna see Astrix, Infected and Skazi.
@UP orgs: Congratulations. As time pass by, I eagerly trust more you guys. Bringing underground original stuff, and music always drenched in psychedelia. I know it's not easy to bring such names, as the crowd doesn't know them, but whoever does know them, reckon that you choose them with the heart. Peace |

btw, just so you know, Im not into copy-paste full on.. Im much more into chill out, progressive, prog house, electro, etc... and I never said it was a bad line up.. but I just expected some different names that were a bit more outside the ´psy and psy prog´ genres.. of course its a psy festival, and I dont expect the line up to be rock and roll bands.. but I always look forward to some totally different names that I hardly ever saw written down in some line up...
what you guys maybe didnt think of, when reading my words, is that concepts like ´inovative´ or ´new´ are always subjective and dependent on a contrary to compare with.. for me, I´ve already seen those artists many times around in different places around, and they didnt call my attention.. it isnt innovative for me.. Most of them are names that I already expect to be there (or in some other psy festival), do you understand?... when I say innovative, its more like, some name I can barely believe is going to play
something that would call more my attention, just as an example, would be like solead, RPO, chris lake, trentemoller, shiloh, king roc, max graham, kasey taylor, ondrej, clubbervision, pryda, whatever
but as I said, thats taste..
and yes traveller, for once I have to agree with you.. nice was too little.. at least when I was there, it was a very nice festival.. even great.. not perfect though, I had my little complains, but this is unnecessary to go about here.. Im sure they are growing as an organization each time, and they dont have the bad attitude that other commercial organizations such as whatever come out from Du Serena´s pockets..
so you guys have fun, never mind me..im not gonna be there this time, hopefully I´ll be in the birth place of this all ...
but please people, try to judge a little less and accept a bit more diversity of opinions and criticism.. Its not very nice if we close ourselves to our similar-minded groups and attack whatever is foreign to us, agreed?

Ok mate, I get your point. You wanna see in the line-up acts from outside the psy-scene. Sorry if I was misjudging you, but it seemed that you didn't know those names in the line-up. Indeed it would be nice to have different names, but at the same time I find very nice that they're keeping the essence calling only psy-trance names, since it's a psy-trance festival. If you go to a party here in São Paulo, it's almost impossible to hear someone play progressive psytrance, it's only electro-house (most of the time cheesy ones) playing at afternoons, they don't even make a transition, it's like people playing full-on, and then the dj supposed to make the transition will play like half-an-hour of progressive to throw in electro-house, and this follows for the rest of the party. Remember that most progressive psytrance dj's nowadays are playing mostly electro-house (cause they don't even dare to play Anthony Rother and the likes). So in my opinion it in the end gives a balance to this hyped up style.

Agreed.
It's a matter of taste.
I think the Line-up has good structure. Very well balanced, from DARK, to PROG.
Many underground names, such as BLT, ALLABY (great stuff), ACE VENTURA, **ELECTRYPNOSE** (u should see this uy's chill album).
And for sure, some ELECTRO-HOUSE artists, never get me bored. Like u mentioned, LUKE WALKER, CHRIS LAKE, PHATJAK, TIGA, MAX GRAHAM, KASEY TAYLOR, among many others.
Once again, it's all a matter of taste...
