why don't u read ALL the topic people, why don't u trust people? why don't u try walking our shoes? Why don't u think that we might think the same and will improve the things? It's only 2 days passed ans so much negative posts i read..yes not constructive but negative.

ppl, we are working on improving top10 section rulez
may be we truly went too far with this limitation and we will improve it within closest days, but hope you all understand that it cannot be the same way it used to be.

And if you stumble across yet another "killer" why not write a detailed review of the track in the reviews section? A hundred words is a lot more than "killer" or or and maybe that's a good way to filter out the fillers. No1 would bother to review a semi good track in detail..

we are looking at options to allow veteran users with a good record and stading in our comunity to post top 10's as well. would you have rather that we delete that whole section and that's it????

OK, then I will disagree and offer my constructive opinion. 
Personally, I agree with aje and dimitry - even though there is obviously no elitism or hierarchy intended, that is going to be the effect by giving the green & blue members the special privilige of posting their charts. I recall something that Surrender said not too long ago in response to somebody asking about the "blue/green hierarchy"...

I guess that's not the case anymore?
It's also going to make the top 10 section essentially another promotional section. Why have it at all if that is the case?
Personally, I like the idea of giving the privilige to IsraTrance Full Members - this will still cut out most of the people who post their tops just to trade (just look through the top 10 section at the yellow members and see how many Junior vs. Full Members there are). But it still allows regularly contributing members of the forum who don't happen to be artists or labels the chance to post their favorite tunes. I doubt anybody is going to try to spam the forum with 50 topics to become a full member - it would be easier to go to another forum that doesn't care about trading.
Also, if somebody gets caught posting a top 10 with traded tracks, be harsh on them!! Ban them from posting topics in that section for a year or perhaps forever - whether they be yellow, blue or green user. Do the same if somebody is caught spamming the forum just to get the privilige to post in that section. Make it retro-active for the users who have already abused the section. 
Maybe it is also useful to make a rule that people have to write the catalogue number of each release in their chart. That will filter out the traded unreleased killarz and fake tracks. It will also help keep artists (and labels, to some extent) from posting purely "promotional" charts of all of their new tracks.
I think also only allowing the original poster to reply to their own topic is sort of pointless. All that is going to do is lead to users trying to find reasons to "bump" their topic back to the top. Either everybody replies or nobody replies. That makes the most sense to me.
For me, the top 10 section is a place where I can see what the 10-20 people here with similar tastes as me are playing and listening to. I have gotten a lot of recommendations from there and I like to think people have gotten recommendations from me as well. CD reviews just won't cut it (especially since most of what I dig is released on vinyl ).
I hope this post wasn't considered overly negative.

I'm agree for this rule.
The top10 section turn to be a section for people who want to show which 10 tracks they have and the others don't have (not everyone but many).
Nice move Isratrance crew , I'm sure that this move improve it self and turn the Top10 section for more quality and intersting.
Now all the disappointed users need to be an artist for post their best 10 tracks |
