It's the way i view how this is set-up......it IS a hierarchy no matter how much you try and say it isn't
If an artist wants recognition for the work they have done - if it is good enough, they will get it without their name being 'blue' or whatever |

we do not grant these statuses for that purpose... we see it more as an easier "identify" tool in order to generate more contact. this benefits both the "artist" and the other users.
other then that, blue or green users have no special benefits.

to be a true artist then you really should be competent with all aspects of creative tools......pencil, water colours, ink, oils and charcoal. |

Okay then - so, it may not be the intention to create a hierarchy or 'table of importance' on this board......but whether this is the intention or not, it definitley does creates a pretentious 'I'm better than you' feeling about the whole thing..and i'll say it again HIERARCHY....s'not wot it's all about is it? But who am i to say what's right and wrong - i am but a meagre yellow person

Maybe I was honestly just a little bit curious if there were others out there who think that one released track on some compilation just doesn't cut it. Why do you pick me as a target? Honestly. And no I don't give a crap how many started topics I've got..

it is certainly not a hierchy with those colors. to us they are the same... to you they may appear diffrent.... so switch your view mate - nobody is saying they better then you as a person here.
we have banned/praised blue, green and yellow users all the same.

I never said they get special or preferential treatment by being a different colour - you try changing ur view as you advise me to do - i can see from ur point of view that the names and colour thing is beneficial for the reasons you stated.....but by doing this - you create an almost 'rat-race' of people striving to be a 'blue' or a 'green' colour because of the reason that it gives them a higher social standing within the scene (i never said i think this makes them seem a better person than anyone else) - and social standings is not what psytrance is about for me.
But i can see this is just something we must agree to disagree about  |

There is IMO good artists that still haven't released a track.
There is crap ones that released plenty of albums and ambient and remixes.
But they are all artists of course.
What I approve of personally or not does not make up the reality or the mening of a word.

Well fine I put it in very bad way. Like someone said, I think Krell: we're all artists..
I guess a better topic title would have been "one track just doesn't cut it"
I honestly believe every single one of us could make a tune and get it released on some psy label. Sure would be a lot harder to repeat that, no? And the long long way to your debut album..
