my dream of extracting melodies and drums from psytrance tracks has been crushed, mostly.

Even with trying to EQ shit so that only what I want to capture is being analyzed its still really rough.

Oh well, it works fantastic on non-full tracks and I guess that what it was intended to do.

Automation curves are good. Single clicks to add/remove automation points are still fucking with my brain though I've only put a couple hours in so that's not surprising.

One thing that was pretty annoying to me is seeing that the Max4Live LFO that they give you does not have a minimum and maximum range in % like my old one in 8 does. It simply has a depth amount. Thankfully the old one from 8 works still, but that was kind of dissapointing.

Holy shit though, that convolution reverb is TASTY AS FUCK            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

It's wonky at best even with single instrument loops. The best results I've had so far have been with monophonic loops. It gets close enough and makes adjusting the tuning/timing of the resulting phrase by ear fairly easy.

We should be slightly thankful it doesn't work perfect. Can you imagine how much really bad music would flood the internet if it worked perfect? Hehe...           Analog/Digital Synth Modules www.toppobrillo.com

the snapping behavior is different but it still snaps for me as long as the grid is enabled.

Really like that you can hear all the different swing/grooves...            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

plus, making a bunch of clips with different curvy automation envelopes with a bunch of different parameters in operator and then randomizing between them with follow actions makes me happy.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

having tried it, your right it is pretty bad with non monophonic material but all products which do this are about the same when it comes to polyphony ... Melodyne does come out on top with polyphonic stuff but for monophonic stuff newtone in Fruity is the best or atleast gives the closest results first time every time            https://soundcloud.com/psypseudonym

load up the granulator on the go and put an LFO on its randomize parameter. all the glitch noises!

also, the new buffer shuffler is ridiculous. so many of the max4live audio devices are top shelf for glitch and weird sound design.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

Found a weird problem in Live 9 with the undo function and M4L devices. Made a tutorial about it in case someone else runs into the same problem and can't figure it out.
