Isotonik just released a Lite version of their awesome Max4Live plugin
http://isotonikstudios.com/
Its on the front page....it gives you some AMAZING functionality in ableton that has eluded me (and anyone without a hefty knowledge of max/live programming)...the ability to see different waveforms without clicking with your mouse!
All you do is hold down the Track Selection button on your APC40 and whatever clip is playing in that Track you see its waveform!
Makes ableton *SO* much more DJ friendly and fun.

fucking awesome tutorials...the fractal effects one at the end is particularly nice....making water noises out of a reverse drum hit!

Nice ones!
I just don't like the part in 'Making Psytrance', where he says, 'today I'm gonna show you how to make Psytrance, it's pretty EASY ACTUALLY'
Easy??!

It's actually the first time I gave Ableton a real spin, just by following one of the tutorials and I must say I very much like how Ableton works

I often will want to bounce my Kick track down to audio, but I always have sidechain compression set up on a bunch of tracks so it tells me I can't. I used to make a new audio track and then resample it or whatever, but I figured out a much faster way to do it.
Just duplicate the Kick track. Then since the duplicate doesn't have sidechain linkages you can just freeze and flatten!
