A Vision Of Peace

With the arrival of Earthdance in a few weeks I feal compeled to write this topic. I think it so important for us all to have a vision of peace, an image inside our minds of how we would like the world to be. To think past all the problems and to focus on how we want it to be. This is what I hope we can project out to the rest of the earth as we dance for peace this ‘earthdance’.
My vision for peace is one of a world with no borders or bounderies, (yes like astral projections say). Where people tavel freely on the earth with the riches of the earth being respected and shared. People being able to talk about the past with a tear in their eye. A tear that holds in it all that needs to be said about the past. A love for life that surrounds the planet like a nice warm blanket.
Maybe we could all share our visions here?

lovecats, I'm sorry but you Vision is naive. The majority of the ppl is driven but sex, money and the will to control. That is why the world is like that. Sadly the only thing that can bring a peace is a war. The ones who survive - maybe, just maybe - will realize that the stupid human specie have been fighting for thousands of years over nothing. But even tough; I doubt it. tha Einstein Prophecy sound more logic: "I do not know how the 3rd word war will be; but after ppl will fight with steaks and stones."
I don't think that I reviled new ideas here. We all know it. We all know that the nature of the human kind is self destruction.

Naive for believing we can overcome our failings or naive for bothering to share. Please don't focus on peoples failings it will only make them grow. Earthdance is a chance for a collective wallop of positive energy to circle the world. If people are focusing on the reasons we don't have peace then they are taking away from that wallop. I can understand how it happens but 'why' I can't.
Feeling great after starting this topic I was able to watch the film called 'The Secret' available for download at www.thesecret.tv watch this if you need help understanding and if you aren't sure what you can use the secret for once it is obtained the just imagine that world with no boarders or boundries and people at peace.
Imagine how the woman would behave in a world at peace.

Its over 50 000 years that humans have been around and we haven't yet destroyed each other and I think we must have been able work together pretty well to get this far.

I don't look at life in pessimistic way or in optimistic way. The way I choose to see the world is in realistic way. Life is realistic Chaos. Humans are not self distractive? The Base of all the world is twisted human mind and the way this kind dived itself to religions and colors, instead of being one nation under one sky. But it's too late now. That is the reality. We are not one nation under one sky we twisted the world vision buy believing in something that does not exist - God! Religions are twisted reality. They where good at first, when the human kind was stupid to understand what's going on, so it was the law and the education. Too bad that in 2006 ppl still believe in God and kill in his name.
6,OOO,OOO ppl where killed because they where from one religion How many died in Hiroshima?
And the future is bright?
Come on...

Yeah we've all heard this shit before. But its a rather silly and simplistic way of looking at things if you ask me.

Maybe in a few cases you can argue for war as the only solution to a conflict, but most wars can be avoided in the first place. In fact many possible wars are avoided all the time in many different ways. By avoiding certain actions that can lead to conflicts, with intelligent relationships, moral responsability, mutual respect, understanding of the others rights, understanding of others culture and position, through fair and friendly play, with noble actions, etc. To me avoiding war is obviously the best way to peace, not war.
You know, you can say that all the problems of the world are natural and all the conflicts of humankind part of our human nature. Yeah well we can make things worse or better, so take a pick.
As for myself I like the vision of peace that LoveCats shared, a world without borders and boundries. BRAVO
I think that mentality can be a huge step, a lot of confilcts we have today are because we insist on looking at the world divided by countries competing against eachother, yeah all while we breathe the same air, share the same waters and resources, and are stuck in the same planet. Yeah what happens at the other side of the world also affects you, so in the end is after all also your own damn problem as well. As humanity begins to understand this more, I just don't see why we would want to persist with dangerous country ego mentalities that with things like nuclear bombs can be quite dangerous.
We were once nomadic tribes wondering the earth, and so I wonder what is the next step for humanity as more and more our world shrinks and our cultures melt into one big giant mind. I think we must begin to let go of our country egos, because its getting old. By us taking a step in this direction we are in some way taking the steps to avoid many conflicts and downright stupid wars in the future.

Word war fought with steaks  .
To the topic, I understand people who see no hope with human kind, but this place could be different if there was more dreamers so absolutely nothing wrong with dreaming of better future. Peace is always something to seek after, although I dont have high hopes for global peace, but dream on people, thats a beginning to make the dream come true. |

Just sad that some individuals do not respect debates and have to attack people personally or redicule them with various "funny" jokes when they run out of arguments. But that's the nature of people in forums and nothing special to this forum or any other forum.

yes even though I dont see that as a "failure of arguments" or a direct personal attack as it is to call someone a "moron" and other stonger words I wont write here. I call a group of people who use symbols they dont even know much about (maybe 0.5% does) "silly" and "wannabe Goths" as a stament that these people want to be "cool" but IMO (of course) do not appear "cool" when they use such symbols (I am not talking about the music here). I do not and never will call anyone foul names as it's seen often here when some individuals cant come up with a better argument to defend their use of such symbols or their taste in music, which btw is totally individual and IMO (again) is not debateable.
