I sincerely belive that Northwest Arkansas would be the ideal location for an event such as this. This area is about as "centrally located" as one can get and is highly psy-friendly and well suited (read equipped) to handle a large-scale shin-dig. Just wanted to throw that out again, considering its already been said 
I think collectively, the US psy-community is one of the most vibrant, "real" scenes with few grudges amongst ourselves and lots of amazingly cooperative attitudes. LET DO THIS!!

i think the only problem with Ark, is that with this fest scheduled for the end of July, the majority of us coastal folks, would be dieing in the humidity of that time of year, in that part of the country

Yeah i'm wary of the weather in arkansas in july...
when we were planning the trancercise tour (RIP) and wanted to do a party there on 4th of july, i was told that it would be really really hot...
a more temperate climate might be better for a July gathering.
