i dont want to get into an unnecessary argument here but as far as a i know there are no cameras inside 9 bar ..if there are any camereas its ard where the small little junction just before entering the place and that is because of the certain threats to israelis in goa and some to goa last year which i guess most of the people know ..also if there are some inside it doesnt really matter ..they r for bad elements and not for someone who is smoking a chillum or enjoying the music
Talking abt inside there is nothing much to be BEWARE of unless U R a TERRORIST or probably from al -qaueda corp neways
cops were there throughout as a security cover for the people who come to njoi 9 bar along with some nice hours of trippy dancing ..
dont really have the clear idea of what u went thru daksinamurti but there is absolutely no worry for the normal party crowd .....
may be u had a diff vison mate =)) ....the pune bust that took place in western india [ 3 hours frm bombay ] where i live from last 14 years is a whole diff story at a different level ..its not much in relation to ur comments on 9 bar story ..its just NOT RIGHT man ....
plz take care of what u write ..coz most of what u writing is not for the things related to goa but coz of bad experiences u had getting caught in the infamous bust up of a party organized by peddlers and wannabes ...my full support to shiv , u and chuha of what happened to u all and i feel really sorry n bad abt this whole thing too coz its having its effects on the bombay scene right now ...but slowly things are falling back into place for SURE ;=)
and the cameras are for security man ..now its the inthing everywhere ..i know the owner of 9 bar personally quite well . its run by some killer people and he just wants to give out a good time to everyone who comes der ..

@cacofonix.. now you won't be let in on the super cool underground goa parties with 300 - 400 ppl stomping away ... u were this() close...
anyway detonatik baba... im the good guy ya.. u can let me know bout the underground parties that you keep advertising about, right buddy? hey anything happening around 15th august? pls pm..

my first post where my thoughts about that newspaperarticle and sure that more or less has nothing to do with the nine bar.
About 9 bar yes there are cameras one right under the entrance for nice profile pic which i seen with my own eyes and from good sources i know that there must be at least 3 more.
when i saw them first couldnt care less but now things look little different.
I just dont feel comfortable with the idea of big brother and have no idea for who this material is .
and about terrorists ...why the heck should they and the watchman avoid terrorist??
i didnt believe in the terrorist hype for me it sounded like a reason for not allowing anymore partys.Which actually is the case.
and wasnt there any license for 9 bar arround march last year?? now they are back to full power but with cameras ... not that i wanna blame them or anything... im just wondering.
well goa and india is changing so what is wrong about telling people the risks ??
sure pune is a whole different story but times in goa are changing and have changed a lot since i first went 1999 and came back almost every year.
anyway dont wanna spoil anyones fun but from my experience India is not a save place to party.
Been booked as a dj to play at a party and ending up spending 18 days innocent in jail and comming home more then bankrupt was a big lesson for me.
anyway i love goa and had some of the best moments there in my life ... i dont say its dangerous to go but i advise everyone to be careful ... dont see anything wrong about that.

yeah i pretty much agree with whatever u wrote but the thing was abt the safety of the party goer n things related ... actually it doesnt matter if u dont want it too , but the whole worl d has changed in last 8 years that were mentioned so it was abt to happen like this may be to goa as well .... i think the whole world knows abt whats goin on in there , i mean all the people related to psychedelic culture ....
9 bar is a great place for sunset _ psychedelic music and a good meeting joint .. and Goa is Alive
less parties but good vibes and parties can always be made in the season time whoever wants to mainly involving local authorities
and also one shouldn't turn a blind eye to the people who r still involved with the culture there and also people who come there every year , dont think so it will be too effected , coz there r loads of them coming .. and also for the sake of indian psychedelic scene

last minute parties
Culture is there and its evergrowing , the party ppl r still there , the no. of indian labels are growing and good ones that too ++ there r festivals being made now which was never the case before in last so many years .
Also there was a festival by namaha recs for 2 days in kodaikonal [tamil nadu] just 3 weeks back , it went on without any interupption from any police n stuff
