morning trance definitely, i drive to uni around almost everyday. A lil full-on sometimes, but its bad to listen to full-on when there is a traffic jam :/ You get really pissy , well for me hehe. At night, yeah , some psychotic micro, azax, kindzadza, psykovsky would do the trick. I keep playing Eskimo's Popcorn these days! It wakes you up, try it!  |

I like full on in the morning, dark and not melodic, fungus funk, that sort of thing. I like it to then get a bit more melodic and a bit easier on the ear and kinda wind down to some progressive, tribal sounds around sort of 2pm (something like Sonic Fusion would kick ass) and the dancefloor starts to fill up again...

Anakoluth you are right in a sense what doens it matter what type of music is played at what time for indoor parties... but I think at an outdoor party the nighttime is a bit scary, cant see whats around you so the dark evil stuff is great for bringing those feelings out... and morning time, especially sunrise, ppl are so happy with huge smiles on their face it is nice to hear more uplifting music... here I dont care if it is full on, melodic, or super psychedlic as long as it is able to bring out the joy in the dancers, and not in a dark and twisted way....
just my opinion. I think the change in the surrounding environment is why it is nice to hace certain types of music play at certain times of the day. happy versus evil. I think evil is for night, and happy is for the Light. Not right or wrong, just I think so.

i really enjoy epic melodies in the night, when there are much blinking lights around;)
