Great party! All of the DJs played great sets, and I was blown away by how amazing the full Turbosound rig sounded outside in that beautiful valley. Just incredibly clear, crisp, and powerful. After seeing the kind of people that turned out for this event, I am even more excited for our next two outdoor events this summer, and for the future of the Colorado outdoor scene in general.

Nice meeting you micromusic and e11even, see you at Dimension in July! It's going to be even better!

Brandon

Nice to meet you as well hun.

yeah, this was pretty sick. great location, beautiful land, awesome sound, and a really nice job on the decorations all made for a great atmosphere. wasn't all that impressed with the music, but my tastes are pretty dark. i did enjoy brad's set though, and the first hour or so of treavors.

really looking forward to july

Hehe Did I met a Micro Music? lol I have to agree on the music part but I guess it wasn't really full on psy. More progressive house then anything in my opinion.

Sorry, couldn't be there - we were moving all week, and come Saturday I was completely exhausted. Heard it was a good one, and planning to attend the Antix party for sure.

umm.. there's been a ton of indoor and outdoor psy parties in Colorado over the last 8 or so years from the many various production crews, with anywhere from 30 to 300+ people. but it's nice that you're excited.

Moontribe is also not a Psy collective.
Moontribe was not adverised as a Psy only gathering either.
With Psy as the focal point, a few different styles that surround that genre will also be heard at these events...but Trance is the main genre. I'd like to get people excited about staying around on Sunday afternoons rocking out to bangin' tunes like I used to see in SoCal at Green Sector shows, but alas, Colorado doesn't understand this philosophy quite yet.           <~/ALEXANDER\~>

I had a good time, My fav was the work you guys did along the creek with the lights and visual screens nice work!

And what a stage!
I could have been into some visuals behind the DJs though the shadow thing was not easy on the eyes with the lazer blasting your corneas all night.
Note lazers in the face bad idea...

Thanx for all the hard work and tunes.
Much love

Glad you had a good time.
The laser was placed there as we knew the fire blows smoke that way, so the logical thing was to place it there for effect....although I too feel the need to place it elsewhere next time.
The stage was done that way on purpose...great decor, but limited so that we can increasingly blow people's minds as the summer wears on. We actually planned to have the DJ look 2 dimensional with the stretch fabric backdrop, but did it so we could leave room for more sophisticated ideas for the future.
The visual screen situation for the next gathering will most definitely please you, we just needed to save some fun ideas for different shows, ya know?
The stage layout for July is already planned, and be ready for some wonderful additions around the venue as more people hopefully join our cosmic crusade...

I think ALOT more people understand than you think. People love psytrance they just get scared away when you call it psytrance. ( From my experience) Lots of people want to hear Psytrance they just don't know it yet but when people hear it they always dance their asses off.

hmm.. how long have you lived here?

did you happen to attend Earthdance we've put on for the last 4 years? How about Apogaea since its beginnings as 'Geodesica'? any of the multiple Syntropics or warehouse events? what about the Space Dub parties? PTLF events? Psygnosis events? Mindflux events? Harmonic Motion events? did you even know we used to have record store that sold primarily psytrance CDs and vinyl for a while? How about any of the downtempo parties we've had with Androcell, Kenji Williams, and other live acts?

and yes, there hasn't been much going on since last September's Earthdance because of various, mostly internal, issues, which may give you an impression that the scene is not there, which is not true. it comes and goes in waves.

these days a lot of the people who were involved in it from day 1 are doing other things or playing other genres of music, so it's nice to have an infusion of fresh energy to spur everyone into action. so good luck with it. I hope you get to throw some successful parties, it seems that the EDM scene is huge and ready for some a larger psytrance representation, even if that means more commercial events as opposed to family-style parties we've always done in the past.

edit: I think the first psy event in Denver that I remember was at the Sugar Lounge on 17th st (next to what is now Vine St. Pub), in 2000? or 2001? you can ask Schmid-E, he'll tell you about it.           ..it's just another party..

I agree with you to a certain point…when I’ve dropped the most insane, psychedelic tracks is when the most people have come up to me and said “what the fuck is this, this is awesome!!” But, a lot of people do seem to scatter like cockroaches when the sun comes up…

Yea I remember the record store actually. So sad that it went out of business.

I lived in Denver off and on for about 10 years. I left in 2002 because the whole scene had died ( In my opinion) and then I had come back in Jan of 06. I agree that the scene does go in waves and that has seem to be a trend in Colorado ever since I started going to parties.

Anything that I have been to in the last year I have found is various types of electronic music even bands and for me personally I just want to go to a full on psy party. No breaks or house. If i want to hear that I'll go to the club. Ya know?

And truthfully I don't know how long I will even be in Colorado. Never really been a fan of the place. Just one of those things where I had to come back to get my life together.

actually, there are plenty of EDM sub-genres that are not played in clubs, but mostly at underground events. and being that psytrance is in a pretty stagnant state right now, i am happy to hear this music at our parties.

Mann this party looks incredible! I have always wanted to go to a Moontribe party, but was not enough "in the know" when I lived in Vegas. I wish with all my heart I could come to this party, but I'm afraid it's just not feasible. I hope you all have an interstellar warp experience as I'm sure you will!
