2010 Best and Worst

It was a good year I think and some of the good stuff is still ahead (Black Swan).
So here's a quick recap of the good:
Inception - The one that made the most buzz. I found it really good but not groundbreaking as I wanted.
Social Network - Much much better than I thought it would be. Best script of the year (Aron Sorkin) is a lock on this year at Oscars.
Kick Ass - Most surprising Comics/Comedy of the year. Had big fun watching it.
Shutter Island - Scorcese's return to form. Excellent atmosphere. Too bad that the plot easily resolved much before the film ends.
Scott Pilgrim VS The World - Crazy crazy film. A must watch since there will be no more such movies in the near future.
Need to watch: 127 Hours, Black Swan, The Town, Tron:Legacy, Machette, Due Date, Buried, The Fighter
The Worst:
The A-Team: Huge let down. Sharlto Copley is the only good thing in this god awful movie.
Predators: Starts good and jumps the shark very very fast.
Hot tub time machine: One of the worst comedies I've ever seen. Seriously, what were they thinking?
Get Him to Greek: Lousy beyond redemption. Slightly better than the afore mentioned.
Twilight Eclipse: Ridiculous plot and actors with less acting skills than your average daytime soap.

Best :
- Inception - Brilliant work overall
- Unthinkable - Just scary
- Wild Target - I actually really liked this movie
- Frozen - US Teen flick, but made an impact on me
- The Expendables - Just epic because it is
- Social Network - A very big suprise for me
Worst :
- Twilight Eclipse - No more vamps pls
- Skyline - So disapointing
- I'm still here - Was so disapointed after all the hype.

Just watched the latest Narnia movie. Liked it. Don't know if it will make it to the Top 10, but it was well done, as always.
"The Illusionist" was pretty good too, imo.

BEST:
Shutter Island (timeless classic)
Metropia (deeply layered and heavily stylized, weirdly wonderful plot)
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (approached mainstream film making in one of the most unique ways possible)
Tales from Earthsea (by Hayao Miyazaki of Spirited Away fame)
3 Idiots (nice and memorable Bollywood movie with a good message)
WORST:
Alice in Wonderland (Burton needs to get over Depp and Carter... overacting killed it)
The Sorcerer's Apprentice (terrible but it did help me fall asleep on the plane in 5 mins flat)
Iron Man 2 (bad acting and terrible buildup, saw it through because of Scarlett Johansson in the cat suit)
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (why!!??)
Predators (turns into a snoozefest less than halfway through)
missed a lot of movies this year... thanks for the tips, shall catch up.

Can't say for sure. But the ones that caught my attention were:
- Mother
- The Social Network;
- Shutter Island;
- Los Segredos de Sus Ojos;
- Inception;
I can't name the bad ones, since I enjoy some shitty movies.  |

Shutter Island was the best forme. But I still have to wait to check Black swan which for sure is the best, but around here wont be launched until february.

nice thread,
Best:
1. inception - with all the hype around i thought ill hate it, but i loved every bit of it.
2. shutter island- two leonardo flix in one year kickin ass seems unreal, but that movie was sychdelicious.
3. green zone- not epic like teh previous two, but kickin matt daemon
bad:
1. skyline- i srsly doubted that i will watch in my lifetime a worse movie than 2012, but skyline did it.. unreal how bad it was.
2. resident evil- afterlife, one word: FAIL
3. tron: legacy- i demand to stop the abuse of the 3d platform, and srsly start making movies with some sort of depth in them. tron for me showed the weakness of the industry by producing a movie with minimal 3d scenes (most of it was shot in 2d) and even those were craplike and reminded me teh 3d of the 80's. hell, they even made bridges looks lame and he's the FOOKIN DUDE

Black Swan, The Town, Tron:Legacy, Buried <-- these are also really nice flicks...
The Town is a really nice movie... ben affleck is so under-rated!
Enter the void.. no words !! brilliant.. and the rest you guys have touched upon as well !
