i haven't been to much parties this year but i've enjoyed the sets of xerox/mascalin (started progressive and then getting more full on) and yahel the most. they played at an indoor party here in switzerland and it was absolutely fabulous.

1. Tsuyoshi @ Samothraki - Three and a half hours in the middle of the hottest day in the festival - stoping to rest? Not a snowball's chance in hell. Pounding those oldschool tribal rhythms, showing that he mastered, mentored, and moved forward the psychedelic grooves.
2. Tristan @ Samothraki - emotion and power balanced in a very smooth and flowing set, just like it should be done. Amazing technique, brilliant track selection (that mix with Computer Breath was brilliant, won't forget that).
3. Buddha Source @ DEAZ, near Binyamina - a short set, but showed me for the first time how minimal should be mixed and how you can put SUN Project and ultra-minimal prog house in the same set and make it exactly right.
4. Hercules @ DEAZ, regavim - Powerful dark set with amazingly high energy levels and great technique, showing that techtrance, full-on and progressive can live in peace side by side in the same set, and wonderfully so.
5. Timo & Ville @ DEAZ and Psychedelic Zion - for showing that it can be done completely different, flowing with the heart and not just with the head, while being wonderfully psychedelic.
