^ picked up the Harmonia EPs on the weekend. Good mix of uptempo and downtempo dubby goodness.
Cheers.
ps. can't wait for more warp technique remixes to complement them...
pps. haven't heard the pitch black mix yet, will have to get onto that. |

hopefully, the gods of dub willing, these will be out in april: already got killer mixes in from bird of prey and the boys themselves and just waiting on two more.
in other news, next week sees the first in a series of re-releases that we have scheduled for this year: bluey's "oceans unknown".
originally released back in 2000 on golden bay records, it was hailed as one of the best new zealand produced ambient records of the decade.
a journey into all things deep, downbeat and dubby, the album opens with the epic, rhythm and sound-esque title track, which has been a crowd favourite every time bluey played live. while just one more and 8m swell are bouncy breaks numbers, and all the time in the world and sticky pond fuse dub and trance, tracks such as skip'n'swing show a more funky side.
as bluey puts it himself, "the sound cannot be accurately defined by any well known genre. the tracks contain the inherent originality which comes from using modern technology in such an isolated and stunning place as golden bay".
ocean unknown is a record to dream and drift to, a lavishly-textured, warm and weightless technological transmission from the heart of the echo chamber. it’s re-release was long overdue, having been out of print since 2002, and never before available digitally.
you can download a remix of the title track for free from
http://bluey.bandcamp.com/track/ocean-unknown-part-2
and get another track in exchange for your email address from
http://bluey.bandcamp.com/track/open-earth
gig wise, we are hosting a room at acid monkeys in london on april 3rd: live set from third ear audio, plus dj sets from doof and myself. |

Wow. That OUP2 track is amazing! It sounds so lush and dreamy. So this will be available in CD format for re-release? |

The Bluey release sounds interesting. Is this an official Dubmission re-release?
Agree with Techmonkey on OUP2 - sounds great! Will have to listen closer to this album.

I started a Discogs entry for the second EP, however I got stuck with "Harmonia (Eden's Stratosphere Remix)". There are a lot of Edens on discogs. Do you have any further info regarding this particular Eden? Like other tracks he/she has produced or been a part of, or a real name or alias. If not then I can add a new Eden, but I just wanted to be sure he/she wasn't already on there. |

we have no current plans to print any cds of this or any of our other releases this year. hopefully being able to get flac files from bandcamp should make up for this. |
