Greeting All,

Back again with another attempt at some Tech/Trance!!

Would appreciate a few minutes of your time to preview and leave a point of view!

Pls Download at :

http://download.yousendit.com/2CD56DAD6A730AEA

If you come across any glitches with the link or file pls PM me!!!

I'm looking for some critical feedback on the sound quality of this track. I've really worked my butt off on the compression, leveling and Eq and somewhat ignored the melodic aspect of the track .. for this i humbly appologise, but hoping that you can overlook this flaw and tell me where i must focus myself on improving the quality of sound production.

As usual suggestions and comments (good and bad) are more than welcome so no need to be stingy on that front!!

Hope you enjoy it!!

Thanx!

Whatsup bros Sufi and psytheria....

Thanx so much for the time taken to preview and leaving such honest & nice comments.

Yes I have to admit, as the days go by I am less and less impressed with the quality of the sound Reason gives after mixdown. I really worked my ass of to try and get just that perfect sound from it, but still not up to the mark - maybe i'm missing something here!! Neways - I have managed to get Cubase SX3 and now am looking for a decent tutorial that will quickly get me rollin on it!! Sumthing that will teach me in detail about VST's too, or else if SX3 can be rewired with Reason-nuthin like it!! The hunt for knowledge is ON!!

nice track buddy..
nice melodys and starts off with an excellent very " make u feel fresh " bass line which sounds really good ...i think u shud continue tht bass till the end with s a few variations here and there....and maybe change tht sitar soundin synth ..it sounds very out dated ..u cud replace the same melody with another similar but a lil more energetic synth ..

all in all its a good track ,and has a very beautiful morning feel to it...           https://soundcloud.com/hypnotiquerecordings

Really nice track but it needs osm ework i think, Sorry!
I liked the melodies. Long time since we heard something nice.
Synth work is nice.

Sorry dont like the bassline. i think it would be a much better track if you gave it some more omph! just my suggestion.

maybe try and a couple more breaks?

Good work man, let us know once its finished!

Please try the bassline thing!           Rather than feeling that you're about to have the rug pulled from under you, let me teach you how to dance on a flying carpet

Hey, nice track.

I feel it needs, and I noticed this as soon as the bass dropped, it (the kik+bass) compressed to death. That makes the song feel like it is "on all the time" not pulsing...almost inverted dynamically, actually. More energy on the "up" than on "impact"...

I think someone else was saying something similar. Let the bass stay fat and round.

Some cutting in the 200-400 range on leads/riffs was needed at some points as well in my opinion, but the bass should then fill the room just created.

Just an idea.

I have really accurate monitoring here though, so you can trust the bit about the bass.

So, more dynamics in the mix, makes for an easier listen

Keep up the tunesmithing...good work!

Jeremy

listen to jeremy...

you need to get the life out of this track..
compare your tracks soundwave to another similar track, you will see the difference in dynamics.

this is a risk with over-compressing. you lose too much dynamics which instead makes it feel and sound lifeless..
and not pulsating and vivid..

"jeremy spoke in class todaaaaaaaaaayyy..."

Thanx a tonne bros for the comments, u cannot imagine how important this kind of feedback is ... 'PRICELESS!!!'

Got to learn from another post i made in Equipment and Music section that the cause of this problem may be my bass boost settings .... will definately work on it!!

Big Big B'om Shanakara!!
