Fat, chunky beats, Hindu tabla, harps, flutes, flamenco guitars, dubby bass lines, etheric atmospheres and psychedelic synth lines and riffs, mix perfectly to create a fusion between different world cultures and sounds, in order to transport you far away from your mind…..
Mar y Tierra 2 is a collection of eleven hi-tech tracks that blend, dubby grooves, psychedelic jazzy lines, and housy vibes to create a chilled masterpiece that will rock your hammock and i-pod.
Featuring new and exclusive tracks from artists such as prahlad, Earthling,ma faiza, lunar sound xavier fux kuba, and The islanders, amongst others, this Cd transmits faithfully the passion that one lives in Ibiza since most artist appearing in the Cd reside in the white Island. And it is for this reason that the Cd achieves to capture and convey the warmth, spirituality,
sensuality and joy that has made Ibiza famous.
The Balearic sound is re-inventing itself, and Mar y Tierra is a fundamental piece in this new musical dawn…..
Mar y Tierra is a must for all dub, chilled, lounge lovers…..

What a top CD - great stuff... I've really enjoyed the releases from Zulu Lounge.
But I'm not sure if I've got a duff copy as there are a few long silent breaks between the tracks - especially at the end of track 4. |

Hi John, thats on mine too. Lets call it an artisitic atmospheric pause, then its seems more credible.
I've got quite few CDs with them in. Does my head in, the record going to an old Youth compilation with a 4 minute gap that keeps me on my toes whilst DJing, nothing like the sound of silence when you think you've got ages left! |

I've been caught out by that a few times - especially if you havent got another track queued up - you just have to hope the next track is a good un!

Another great compilation by this good label Zulu Lounge! Fresh chill and dubby tracks... I agree with people who says that there is a silence at the end of track 4. It´s probably that there is an error in the making process. I have also anoyher cd´s with this problem.

Hi folks,
Yes, I heard the gap in between track 4 n 5....
It must be an error during the mastering.... We are really sorry...
Thank u for ur understanding and patience with this....
I hope that the quality of the sound and the choonz make up for it....
Would be amazing if someone reviewed it!!!

Yes, very nice album. In fact, I played tracks number 2 and 3 at an outdoor festival in the mountains of Japan recently, www.mother.bz and they went down very well. The audience really seemed blown away by them. I cued track 3 from 1:50 and the violins reverberated beautifully through the Japanese Alps.
This weekend I will DJ chill on the main stage at the Fineplay party in Aichi Prefecture Japan, www.fineplay.jp and I think I will finish my set with track number 2 by Earthling, which is an absolute and total killer.
Good job Vatos Locos!!! Thanks and all the best. Respect!

Had this on last night. Still an great album in my opinion.
Such a shame that Zulu Lounge haven't released anoything since 2007. I'm still hoping that one day they'll come back with a few more of their unique compilations. Such nice music for warm days and nights.... |
