Just found out on another board that these guy's are set to release their 3rd album 'The Powers That Beep'. Released on Eat Static's label Mesmobeat set for July 25th.

'Written and produced by Zia and Mindflux and featuring Jon Egan (ex-Ozrics) and Alex Pym (ex-Damidge/Dream Machine), this album finds the group moving up a gear, both in terms of covering a breadth of new musical ground and being a more focused dancefloor-filler than the previous 2 outings. The new album is also a more band-oriented production, with the current line-up having gelled over the last two-years, through extensive performance on the live circuit - performances that have drawn rave reviews and a solid and cosmopolitan fanbase. "The Powers That Beep" is finding a wide-audience, as it twists and turns its way through a myriad electronica and dance styles, but with the continuity of the distinctive Zubzub vibe and sound weaving it together in to a cohesive whole.'

2 new tracks can be downloaded here:

Just learned about ZubZub from your post. Found some samples of their older stuff online. Glad I didn't miss out on these guys. Definitely grabbing the first two releases while I wait for this one.

Thanks for the info! Ordered Malicious Code this past weekend. Anxiously awaiting it's arrival! What's the bit rate on the songs available from that first link?

*edit* Brilliant stuff by the way! *thumbs up*

No worries, Techmonkey.

Err, where did you order Malicious Code from? As I'm the only person you can get a copy from - would be interested to know!

The bitrate on the Soundclick tracks are only 128 - if you want better, again email me and I'll sort you out in the bitrate of your choice           ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

Cool. Will be dropping you a PM regarding a higher bitrate. As for Malicious Code, I picked it up from Rubbish Records in their CD Shop: http://www.rubbishrecords.co.uk/ Hasn't arrived yet, so I hope I didn't get taken in on that one.

I'm afraid Rubbish Records cannot supply you with that album and, unfortunately, we have had a number of emails from people who have ordered and not received their product :-(

They certainly don't have any stock, as we bought back our remaining stock from them some months ago, as they don't seem to be doing any business. Sorry - you could try emailing them, but others haven't received a response. Likewise, we have asked for it to be taken off, but nothing has happened there either.           ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

Ah... Sad news, that. Thanks for the heads up though. I'll give a try in contacting them. Already dropped you an e-mail on first ZubZub. If you can include info on purchasing a copy of MC from you as well, that would be much appreciated.

Hey-ho folks! Hope you're all good!

Well, what an amazing few weeks it has been for Zubzub - an absolutely incredible set on the Glade stage at Glastonbury (and I was fortunate enough to see one of the all-time great sets from Merv as Eat Static later on the same stage!) and an amazing gig in Guernsey last weekend, things really are bouncing along nicely

And, with just 2 weeks to go until the release of the new album, we thought we give you a sneak preview! You can listen to the full title track over at www.reverbnation.com/zubzub complete with ripping guitar from Alex Pym, sublime flutes from Jon Champignon Egan, live percussion and synths from yours truly and the masterful Zia Zub at the helm! We hope you like it           ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

Hey guys!

Glad you are enjoying our work

Sorry to say that the album has been delayed slightly, to 1st August (but, that's only a few days away, so I hope that's ok with you! )           ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

We thought we'd give you another, exclusive, sneak preview from the album - just head on over to our profile page at www.reverbnation.com/zubzub to have a listen to the dark, brooding "Geodesic" - a fine slab of psychedelic drum'n'bass that rolls in to dubstep and then tails off with some hefty dub. Enjoy!

???????????????????????????????????????????????
This post shouldn't be here man!!!!
This album is no way chill music. It is TRANCE apart from maybe one track on the album!
Nothing against the releases Mindflux (I own it myself), but you should be sticking to the psytrance forum man as this music has no part in the chill scene!
Even on psyshop they categorise the album as chill/ambient. No way hozay! This release is psy!

Hi Alex!!

I know, but I didn't start the thread, so it wasn't up to me that it was in here ;-) Can it be moved?

I also know that Psyshop have it as chill/ambient - I have no idea why because, even if you just listen to the samples they have there, you can easily here that it is uptempo! But, I don't seem to be able to find contact info for them, as I would like to get them to change that ;-)           ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

funny I posted about this yesterday but it obviously didn't register whilst the server was down.

ever since I opened the thread I realised this was the wrong section, possibly the electronica section would be more suitable?? No one seems to open threads specifically about albums in the trance section, and I wouldn't call this a psy trance album either !            - - It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice... - -
