I could see this coming in handy if you are making a film or doing graphics, but it seems to be a bit overkill to buy this just to run vsts... you could spend the same amount of money on a really nice amount of hardware and just use the computer to record and maybe for some fx that you didn't want to use your hardware stuff for...
And since they're intel chips, how long do you think before you can just build your own pc for a fraction of the cost?

The technology for PCs has been around, I'm not too sure of any motherboard that supports that much power, yet.. but I am sure they are just around the corner. Quad core cpus have been out for awhile..as well as all the other features, it seems like they just made a supermotherboard, unless someone knows of one..? |
