Hey traveller that's not really fair. You dont know the story behind Duca's adventure with ZMA (neighter do I) or what his music is like. have you considered that Duca was waiting for news about the release and therefore didn't send it to any other labels? What many times happen is that a release get's delayed a year or so and in the meantime music have moved in a new direction leaving the music behind. If that's the case I feel sad for Duca. I actually tried that with my very first release on R&S Records. It took them almost 20 months to reelase my debut single and once it hit the stores the music scene had gone in a total new direction and not many noticed my "out of date" release. If I had asked another label to release it I am sure they would have said no. See my point?

As it seems everybody didn’t want to comment, but did it anyway, I’ll do the same:
If my memory is correct, there was a similar problem with the same label, some time ago, which evolved into a longer discussion, in this forum. That could point towards their being some sort of legitimacy in the artist’s claims. But as proven several times by now in this forum every story has 3 sides. So who knows???
But I agree with you Elysium we should be able to discuss freely to some extent in this forum. But on the other hand the really juicy discussions in this forum, involving politics, drugs etc. have a tendency to become filled with nothing but horror, and fill the forum with a destructive vibe. So maybe Yossi and the other moderators are right, after all.

Wow. It is now more than 10 times, or so, that I have seen such a story regarding ZMA. All of these people can't be lying. Some of thes epeople are also quite reputable.
I was thinking of purchasing the Manibus album (on AMZ, a ZMA sublabel), but perhaps I will think twice=). |

Cubensis if you rely on buying albums relying on whether a label owes money to people or not then i suggest to you to start buying pop music instead of psy trance.
Its very funny to see some people accusing other labels for owing money to people while at the same time their own labels owe money to people.
I suggest to wait for Hercules response on this one cause many accusations take place and some of them have no valid grounds cause i know some of the cases really really good.I suggest we wait for Herc to response on this one cause its not my job or anyone elses to answer for him,personally i have worked with Herc in the past and will work with him in the future cause he has been really honest to me and followed all the deals that we had aggreed.Every coin has two sides you see.

If i ever get fucked over by a label then im most certainly gonna come on here and say something. I mean what else am i supposed to do. I know the feeling (i been close before)....when they not answering your emails and its been months and you start to get desperate. Not much else you can do is there? Who has money to sue people over the other side of the world anyway? Very unlikely, thus making a written contract quite pointless anyway. Personally ZMA have been good to me, so no problem with Herc here...but yeh, the day i get fucked up by anyone i will be doing my best to educate other artists not to work with whoever "they" are.
PS - Traveller - why do you come into this thread and just start dissing Duca (Anax) music without knowing wot is going on - you saw a good oppurtunity to make a low blow on someone? ...the attitude i see in your posts really irks me sometimes....carry on.

I dont know how much off you here, are familiar with Duca's music, i am, and it's exelent, the same as Panayotis ( Opsis ) music, and Trioptimum's music and many else ... and these producers are now out from ZMA because "some" reasons ... I think that someone, that make a good, even exelent music, does not deserve to be manipulated by anyone, especially not by the man that they trusted !

Hi! First of all I want to thank everyone for discussing about this. I really think that it is very important to know with who artists are dealing with.
I also want to tell you that I am not bitching and that I am not begging or crying so that ZMA can realease my album, I already found new label for that tracks, I just wanted everybody to know what kind of person and how unprofessional ZMA is. |
