another battle... we can see here more new activity: artist/s vs. label, label vs. label, i wait till i see artist vs. artist
more and more my heart getting dissapointed by our scene... and as a young artist it confuses and scares me.

Sorry yossi, but I totally disagree. I got nothing to do with this prob, but I think this is the best place to talk about it
If it is a fact that this guy is cheating a lot of ppl, I think is important to know and to let other ppl know, to avoid the same happening to them in future.
The day artists and labels work toguether will be the day that lables stop ripping of artists. This is already not a good scenario, its already very dificult for the artists to make any kind of money in this scene, but getting cheated by a label makes things 10x worst.

ppl are just expressing problems they had, to avoid more problems in future

Mr.Dregas what about your debt to MidiMiliz for the Remix of Morphem, they never recieved payment for it and never got your replies while trying to contact you, do you know that they can sell this debt to a third part whom can be a specialist in getting such situations solved?

Yossi, this forum is ment to be as a source of information, on this forum you can find main part of the artists ,labels ,media resources and a lot of people who actually cares about this things and can give people some advises and facts they should be aware of.

I didnt want to comment on this but here's what I think (mo): What type of artist would deal "money" on a verbal contract? This is way too amature! The biggest problem on the scence involving fighting between labels and arstist is that BOTH are really unprofessional! I wouldnt blame it on the artists because, as an artist, their job is to make music. But, on the LABELS because they are responsible for the bussiness and the contracts...
And this is quite reasonable to think because as we all know, the people behind many labels are ordinary and dont have any idea on how to do it professionaly, plus a great number is only interested in making money...
On the other hand are the more serious labels, which we all know who they are...

dont get me wrong, im not taking e n side here... not Bcoz i dont want 2, but Bcoz i cant, i just have no idea whats going on in this story... and im sure u dont have either, and like me and u... also 2000 other users.
and thats why its not the place...
the fact that some labels didnt got payed by their distributers dont makes it legitimate to open it up in a public forum.
sure that its wrong when the artist is fucked up... its damn wrong, coz without him there is nothing.
but to open it up here wont solve n e thing.
if im not wrong... few other threads like this one was opened, and they lead to nowhere.
and i think this place shouldnt be a court

yossi, as u can see many ppl had problems because of this guy.
maybe half of it could be avoided if someone had posted this problem earlier
ppl fuck up, they have to deal with the consequences, I see no problem in talking about it, in fact I think its great that ppl talk about it and try to get the others aware
as edoardo said, the list can grow up, ppl are just triyng exactly to avoid that with this post
its definetelly more informative than the 1001 forums about prog/full on lol

Im disagree Yossi, it just shows that several artists not really connected to each other been ripped off by one person,and its kind of warning for the others !
if you was on the place of one of those artists you was thinking different about this facts exposure.
This place is not a court of course ,its just a valuable information resource.

I would not call people dumbasses because they trust someone's word. Naive maybe. Just sad that so many people in this scene (and other scenes) f*** eachother over this way.
I can't see why anyone would have a problem with information shared on this forum? It's a small community and if someone is doing things that hurt other people then it should be known to prevent that person from hurting other people... We live in the information age like it or not. Sometimes I get the feeling that some people on this forum have a long way to go before realising that we (well some of us) live in a world where free speach, free thinking and information is part of our democratic rights.

i'm not saying that trusting someone makes one a dumbass..
however when money is involved (unless it's a really good friend) one should always make a written contract.. i mean ffs isn't it a standard thing? if the other doesn't agree on signing something you should sort of get a hunch that he's going to fuck you up..

I agree. And I would never agree to anything without signing a written agreement. Heck I even bring it to my lawyer (yes I have one after numerous shark attacks) before signing anything.
It's indeed sad that some people take advantage of those who dont understand the mechanisms of this business or just dont have any experience in the music industry.... But I guess the saying "What goes around comes around" is true

then again i wouldn't call that fucking someone up. sure it's a little unprofessinal to not answer anything but if the guy has decided that the album isn't worth releasing (read not too much potential) and there's no written contract about him releasing it it's far from fucking someone up. stop bitching and find yourself a new label to work with. or have you perhaps found out that no1 else is interested in releasing it?
